Chapter 06 - Zinon

1873 Words
Jay’s breathing hitched. There it was again. The bastard’s eyes when he looked at him. It was as if he was being devoured whole with those eyes. And whenever, a tint of green would taint those ambers whenever those eyes would rake the entirety of his body. Really a f*****g pervert and psycho! The two had stood still, facing each other. Both of them had different ideas running through their brains. However, only one and the same thought they had been obsessing. It was about how to destroy one another. Jay took off his shirt. He had been feeling hot in this cramped space and sweating since the beginning. His taut stomach and muscled chest seemed to shine under the dim light. And the f*****g pervert took the bait. He snorted. He saw how the bastard had stiffened. Jay could feel that perverted and intense stare from his chest down to his stomach. Jay let him see what he wanted to see while he took his chance at the guy’s moment of weakness. In three large steps, he had reached the stunned pervert. With just a few inches apart between them, Jay landed a solid right hook on the guy’s stomach. Jay did not let him recover his wits. He grabbed a handful of hair by his nape and pulled it backward. “You’re a f*****g pervert who deserves this beating, you get me?” Jay’s face was close to him as he threatened him. Their noses were almost touching. What’s so good about a man’s flat chest? A woman’s soft and large chest was much more pleasurable to look at, especially those that he could grab with the entirety of his hand. If it was in another time with different circumstances and he was not the object of his perverseness, he might have taught this bastard the way to chase a woman. And not walk this crooked path. Tsk, he hated to admit, but the man’s face was the kind that women would chase for. His handsome face and cold eyes that always looked down would melt any woman’s knees. His meticulous clothing and leather shoes screaming for thousands of bucks were only an added point. He knew most women would go for this kind. It had been proven when his two girlfriends had left him for guys like this one. However, this one in his hand was on another level in terms of face and bearing. Jay’s thoughts had been sidetracked as his eyes roamed the guy’s appearance. He had smooth skin, almost poreless. Jay reminded him of his woman once who took care of her face well. No wonder he had easily overpowered this guy. He did not know how to use his strength well. But weak or not, Jay needed to teach this guy a lesson so that he wouldn’t blindly assault a person again. Zinonhad actually read Jay’s moves but his damn wolf had been keeling over the moment the other had taken his shirt off. He needed to take reign of himself not pounce on the man. The punch was expected but it still damn hurts. This mate of his doesn’t f*****g know how to hold back. He was forced to a kneeling position with his face looking up at that fierce gaze. It had been roughly half a minute but the other eyes had only been roaming all over his face and had never left him. Zinon’s pupils contracted. The heat that he had barely contained began to spread again like a wildfire on dry grass. It only needed one small spark to engulf a whole mountain. His throat moved. He purposely clenched his thirst to make it go away. His claws almost rose to bring that delectable mouth down to his. “Really, a f*****g pervert,” Jay said in a low voice. Jay would not have been called a man if he had not noticed how this guy’s face changed. The desire was blatantly exposed to him. Surprisingly, when he met the guy’s deep stare, the revulsion that he had first felt only had a faint presence in him. Instead, something inside was struggling to get out. It was as if his eyes were pulling a part of himself at him. Jay had not realized that both of their breathing had quickened. Their lips were inching closer. “Oh, my g-!” Automatically, they pushed each other’s away like two magnets repelling the other. Jay almost flew to the door while Zinon, not anticipating the force, fell backwards to the hard floor. “Shoots, did I interrupt you two?” Rachel’s voice was teasing as she came near to her. She got impatient at the bar and only wanted to check if their visitor had left, only to witness this kind of scene. She was expecting to see a bloody scene but what she got was much more entertaining. Jay glared at her. Her tone had not escaped his ears and knew that she had got the whole situation wrong. But even so, he felt a little thankful to Rachel. His mind got cleared out of that fog. “Just get the hell out of here.” Jay walked to the unmoving body on the ground and planned to continue his unfinished business with him. “Oh… you gonna continue? But it’s better to do it on a soft surface. The room is on your right side.” Rachel kindly offered with both hands the lounge room. “Just f**k off, Rachel.” Jay had no time to correct her assumption and shooed her away. His focus was on the guy. Zinon heard the two’s exchange. He did not bother to care nor bothered to stand up as he washed his face with his hands. This situation was damn laughable. He, Stavros’s Alpha, was like a lying dog in this loud and unbelievable space. If he did not conduct an investigation on his mate and found where he was working at night, he would not have been there. His damn impulse to follow him had put him in this situation. It felt like he had taken a rock to smash his own foot. Now, two people were talking over his living corpse. He would kill if anyone found this out. “What are you two doing in here? And Jay, did you get rid of that guy - ?” “Who's that on the flo -?!” Jay saw his boss come up the stairs, his expression changed so fast the moment his eyes landed on the body. “You know him?” The boss quickly recovered from being petrified and fast as lightning came to the man’s side. However, the man raised a hand to prevent him from touching him. He and Rachel paused as the man calmly stood up. He dusted his pants and suits. While he was doing that, the boss turned to the two. “What happened?” He mouthed at them. His thick eyebrows were scrunched together, almost fusing together. Rachel quickly abandoned her friend and pointed at Jay. The boss’ sharp gaze went at him. He had seen the boss's cowardly behavior before, but never had he been this angry at him. Jay opened his mouth to explain the whole situation but the guy had beat him to it. “This is nothing, just playful banter.” The cold voice made the boss shiver. “P-playful banter?” He stammered. This person with Jay... were the two playing? The brusque young man of their club and this person that they could not afford to offend. He wanted to weep. It seemed that his luck in business would be running out soon. The man in the suit turned his head at him. His eyes make the boss step back a step. The boss clamped his mouth shut and stood meekly before his VIP guest. A melodious ring among the hard beats seemed to come to save the boss from being frozen on his toes. Zinon, unfazed, took his phone out of his pocket and swiped the screen. He glances briefly at Jay's directions before putting the phone on his ear and walking a few steps away from them. For a while, no one opened their mouths. Rachel looked between the three people. She did not feel the need to make her presence stand out. She slowly inched closer to a darker corner and planned to watch the show with amusement. Jay heard bits and pieces of that man’s conversation. “Stay put … I won’t be long here…” Jay wanted to drag him again to finish his business but under the boss’ glare, he could only stay put. “What did you do?” The boss asked Jay with a low voice, afraid that even his fart would disturb the great man’s phone call. Jay shrugged his shoulders and played innocent. “You heard him.” The boss squinted his eyes at him, not believing him one bit. He turned his head to his niece, who was busy making a bubble with her gum. Rachel had also raised her shoulders at him, not saying anything. Then again, he should know better. These two always conspired behind his back when it comes to their faults. “You, you didn’t mistake him for the other guest, did you?” The boss asked. Hoping that his conclusion was wrong. Jay snorted. “Nope, don’t worry, boss. The other bastard won’t be coming here anymore. Do you want me to take care of another one?” “Shut your mouth!” The older man’s heart almost jumped out of his chest. His eyes quickly swiped to the man’s side before glaring again at his employee. “Don’t mention that thing. And he’s not someone we can afford to offend, so, don’t do anything and follow my orders.” “Why? Who is he?” Rachel walked and stood between her friend and relative. She got intrigued by the way her uncle been having around that mysterious man. “You don’t suppose to know this but that man…” The boss deliberately cut his words before beckoning the two to lower their heads to his level. “That man is the big boss.” “Big boss?” they said in unison. However, their question did not get an answer as they were shooed away. Their small boss stood at attention like a good soldier awaiting his commander. Rachel, quick as lightning, had flown to her original corner, chewing her gum again. Jay felt that familiar presence close to his back. “Come with me.” He could feel his breath fan against his hair. Jay mustered all of his control not to swing his elbow backward. Big boss or not, he’s still a freaking pervert. Does he f*****g need to stand so close just to say that? And his guts to command him like that. He must have forgotten his fist touching his face. “Yes! I’m coming!” The boss bolted to the pervert’s side with utter obedience. Three pairs of eyes went at him at the same time. The boss was oblivious and looked expectant at the taller man.
