The Reverse.

It was a rainy evening and Bella didn't know where to go except to stay under the hibiscus tree outside the gate of the Carson's mansion as the rain poured on her torrentially like it was sending a personal message to her .

Her beautiful yellow dress she had worn with all enthusiasm that same day in the morning is now missed with little strike of blood and rain water ,she tried to clean up with the purple cardigan she held but the rain already soaked it.

"How will I explain this to Brian,how will I explain to mum ?and how will I prove my innocence and get justice from this despicable act ? she muttered to herself as she stood from under the tree to approach the nearest bus stop close to her house ,wary of passersby .

"watch out pls " a woman shouted from the black Range Rover that passed by Bella ,but the deed has been done .

"what happened ?" who is she " ?where was she going to ?'pls carry her " she could hear all the noise from around her but she couldn't see a thing ,not with her chestnut hair covering her beautiful oval shaped face while she fell to the floor with a painful impact.

Suddenly she heard a familiar voice from a distance ,"Bel " with a tinge of surprise ,only one person calls her that and that is Brian .

She looked up to trace the direction of the voice and came face to face with Brian's blue eyes ,the light went out immediately after as Bella muttered "oh no " under her breath with the last of her strength .

"pls open your eyes Bel'' , what happened " ,? Brian questioned as he sat beside Bella on the hospital bed.

Brian and his mother had taken Bella to the nearby hospital after they picked her from the accident 's site .

Lady Carson recognized Bella immediately they picked her up after the car hit her, she had warned her to watch out without checking who it was that crossed their paths that day .It was a surprise to find Bella :Brian's girlfriend of a year around the mansion at that time of the evening .

Brian was on the phone despite warnings from his mum while he was driving both of them home from the office hence he couldn't see Bella as she moved towards the bus/stop close to the mansion.

'thank God for your life Bella, " I am so sorry ,I couldn't see in the rain " and besides ,what happened to your elbows and your dress '? Brian queried as he checked out Bella's little scratches from the accident's impact .

" pls allow her to rest " ,she will explain it all when she is stable ' the doctor told Brian .

Brian and Lady Carson left the room to the reception to wait around a bit .He put a call through to Bella's mum and informed her carefully of what happened in other not to scare her.

"what happened to my daughter " ? I told her not to ever get near you nor your family members " , I have warned her severally. . she shouted at the other end .

Brian knew this would happen,their affair has been so turbulent in the last one year and loving Bella so much seems not to be enough .

At 26 ,Brian is the head and CEO of Carson's group of company .He took over from his father and uncle after his master's degree at Oxford and so far ,he has managed to turn around things at the establishment, not with the crops of brilliant and efficient employees who are now formed the management team .

Exactly this time last year was when both Brian and Bella met .Bella had come for internship and they immediately struck it off at the first contact .

Brian was so smitten by her looks that he couldn't concentrate on anything else even though he was the one conducting the interview as at that time .

Her beautiful chestnut hair cascaded around her face and down in straight lines,her beautiful tawny colour like glass skin with a beautiful figure sitting pretty on a 5.7 inch length .She was a deep purple pants combined with a gold coloured top that day and Brian couldn't but notice her fragrance as she entered the room.

Carson group has requested that interns be taken in from different universities around the area so as to give back to the community even though they would go through training on the job ,they would also be paid some amount of allowance as their upkeep .

Brian was not meant to be around the company the day of the interview but as fate would have it ,he requested to meet the interns that had come in that day .

Seeing Bella was like something struck him in the chest ,he kept his gaze fixed on her like he had never seen a girl before .The team noticed this and were surprised by the singular attraction their boss had for this particular intern .

Bella in the other hand noticed Brian the moment she entered and was afraid of his tall stature and stern look even though handsome with jet black hair ,blue eyes even glaring and seen from his pair of glasses ,the smart black suit matched with a white shirt and a simple black tie .Brian looked like a Greek god with his tanned skin and the whole attire that screamed money that day .

Despite the fact that she was a bit shaken ,she didn't let that show ,she had sat with the other interns for the interview and waited for her turn .

"Miss Roberts pls " the old lady came into the room to announce her name .

"yes pls",

"pls come forward for your interview "

Bella had moved into the expansive and luxurious large office ,she couldn't but notice the expensive furniture and carpet ,she was enthralled both by her environment and the man that sat behind the big oak table .

"pls take a seat miss Roberts " ,Mrs Maddy : the previous old lady had said while she arranged her documents .

"pls introduce yourself and tell us why you have chosen Carson '?"

She cleared her throat and started to speak ,although noticing the heavy gaze of the man she now knows as the CEO of Carson.

"you are not exactly answering the question miss"...the voice she was praying so much not to interfere in the interview came out loud from behind the desk .

"oh alright yes ,all I want is experience on the job and that is why I have chosen Carson ,a friend of mine from school told me this is the best place to work as an intern if you are an economics graduate "

'alright then,that will be all Miss Roberts ,you can take a bow while we get back to you at a later date ",and thank you for coming " said Ms Maddy with a beautiful smile on her face .

Bella had expected the CEO to say something again but he seemed to be busy at the far end doing other things .She had walked out of the place that day ,waited a little for a probable feedback but nothing came ,so she had headed home and waited for another two weeks to hear from Carson's.

And suddenly ,her phone rang out loud on a Wednesday morning while she was busy with the assignment her mum had given her before she left .

"hello,pls who? Bella received the call with a bit of surprise and anticipation.
