CHAPTER FIVE

'Honey, I'm home' was the mantra Dylan always chanted anytime he got home and with Amber under the weather on their fourteenth day of class, he wanted to surprise her with good news. 'My baby darling curry chips' was her response from her room and this made him laugh so bad, already expecting a response of sort, he replied with a 'my cutie rabbit dolphin plump pumpkin' which also earned him a laugh from her.

Entering her room, he expected to meet her under the sheets but instead found her with her pencils drawing a grey eyed man,

'Is this just your imagination or a real being?' Dylan asked.

'Oh, well, remember the guy I told you I ran into the other day, this should look similar to him. Anyway did you bring me my assignment from my class representative and did you bring food?'

'Oh Ambs, I hate it when you jump ahead of my surprise, guess what I bought you, you don't get it, I eat it' said Dylan

'Hmm, nutella sandwich or chips and extra spicy chicken nuggets and soda or tacos with extra spicy sauce, tell me I didn't get it' smiling to herself cause Dylan was pretty much predictable, she was so glad when she saw him pout and drop the baggage on the table because she had as usual beat him at his own game.

'I hate how you always get me bro' was all he said before he dived into the food with her.

'If a girl has to always guess her food before you feed her', she will she said sticking out her tongue to him.

‘Did any new thing happen with my rival in school today or what?' asked Amber.

'Yes, she did and she sent her regards as well. By the way I think my friend Connor might like you, I've been noticing how he's been stringing me for more information about you of late and he better not try me, I'll beat his ass bad', this comments from Dylan made her laugh so bad.

'First of, Dylan no violence you already know this and I don't like Connor bro so I pray he doesn't come to me or anything, I would hate to make him feel bad, plus is it just me or he acts crazy sometimes?' said Amber

'I guess he might be crazy and I don't want you with no psychopath as a matter of fact, I'm cutting him off my friend list, I am your knight in shining armor and leather pants. I have to always protect you'

Laughing and nodding with him at the same time, Amber got in her bed and put on her favorite twilight series. Already knowing Dylan would run off at the sight of the movie for a reason she can't figure out, she made sure to sleep on him in order to hold him down.

Shouting on top of his lungs and the loud laughter from Amber caused panic in the house and on getting to her room, Valentina, the duos mother on noticing the situation laughed to herself while asking 'twilight again?' With series of nods and pleas from both of her children, she told them dinner was ready and left Dylan who was sulking because he felt cheated and unloved, a statement that earned him a peck and laugh from Amber.

'Better get your asses down here for dinner' that yell made Dylan push her off him while lending a hand to raise her up.

‘Hey Dad’ was said by them both before Dylan processed to explain his encounter to his father in hopes of support but was shocked when his father instead high fived his daughter.

'No one loves me' Dylan said and this got him kisses and hugs from the Happy family.

'Rise and shine sis' was Amber's alarm that morning. 'Damn you Dylan' she yelled back.

Still playing sick, she said 'I'm sick bro' and with this came cold water down her face: 'no, you're not you liar you're just avoiding classes because of strange faces but no more, get your ass up before I really bath you in bed' Hearing the seriousness in his voice, she sprang up on her feet and processed to dress up for college while yelling an 'I hate you D' which earned her a 'love you too' from him.

'There's no class today tho' Dylan said and to this, his sister yelled bloody murder 'but there's a fresher's party and that's why I woke you because you're going with me' he completed.

'I hate parties and all of that s**t though' she answered back and this brought out a laugh because 'the virgin just said, damn, I must have got on your nerve bro', Dylan said. 'Yes you did, now shut up and just watch how I embarrass your ass in this party' she said back.

Getting serious, 'you know I won't let anybody hurt you right and I know saying sorry doesn't cut what has before now happened but I promise not to leave your side ever, okay?' Dylan assured and with that he got a nod and a sarcastic 'let's get this party started'.

A series of hey bro, yo dude and so many others were yelled at Dylan on his arrival to the party and Amber couldn't help but wonder when he became so popular in University too, sure he was really popular in high school because he played football and for his looks amongst the girls but it's only been a month college started and he was already this known,

'How in God's name does everyone know you Dylan?' she asked

'To be honest, I have no idea myself, must be my sexy look' answered Dylan.

'Well I don't care how popular you might be, if you leave me by myself in this party, I'll tell the parents and have them take your car' she said. Laughing at her he dropped his hand on her shoulder while saying

'I don't care who comes over here either, I won't leave you by yourself besides I love my sister's company so bad' he concluded while throwing her a forehead kiss.

'Let's see how true you stay to that promise now okay?' Amber said and noticing her anxiety at the situation, the brother found them a sit and assured her of her safety.

'You'll be alright, just stick with the party boss, okay?' he joked

'Yeah right, as long as the boss doesn't forget and abandon his queen, yes?' she retorted

Laughing at her sarcasm, he muttered to her 'queen my ass' while she shoved him almost out of the chair whisper yelling her name.

Slowly progressing, yes?
