Kenchki was extremely angry by the time the elevator opened onto the second floor of the grocery shop. He disliked people who tried to keep things from him, especially when they knew the answer and had no reason for keeping it from him.
As he stepped out of the elevator, he saw a desk, where a woman was sitting typing away at a computer. Kenchiki approached the desk and yet she didn't notice him; he was beyond infuriated by the employees of this place; he made a note of this and swore to wipe such an unprofessional place off the face of the Earth.
He was about to get the attention of the women, when he heard a commotion, loud arguing and crying, looking for the source of the noise, Kenchiki noticed the door behind the woman's desk, concluding that she was the secretary of the manager, he passed by her, and walked behind her desk, he pushed the door of the office opened and entered, at long last, the woman noticed his presence, Kenchiki looked back at her and saw that she had turned deadly pale, giving her a glare he shut the door behind him, it seems as if the woman had made mistakes like these more than once, completely unprofessional.
As he entered the room, he saw a blonde woman sitting on a chair and crying heartbreakingly. All he thought of when he looked at her was that she was a crybaby and that she looked ugly when she cried.
He saw another woman, this woman was dark-haired and wearing a pencil suit, that was much too tight to be appropriate, standing over the other woman, seeming to comfort her.
He gave up on looking at the rest of them. This place seems to be filled with useless people having unprofessional behaviors. He rather not waste his time on insignificant people.
Kenchiki gave a scan around the room, trying and failing to locate his brother. He then saw him sweating in a chair by the window, clenching onto the arms of the chair. Yoshiki had sweat on his face; he was visibly in pain; he had his eyes closed, and instantly Kenchiki felt like killing something. His brother was in pain, and he wasn't even there to defend him, he knew his brother was fragile he needed to be protected, he can kill and harm anything he wants but no one can bring any harm to him, especially when he was still alive and kicking.
As for the people inside the room, no one took notice of him. He briefly wondered what was wrong with these people, and better yet how they didn't die yet, because it was impossible to live this long and not even keep track of their surroundings.
He made his way to his brother and kneeled in front of him, putting his hand on his brother's knee, he felt him visibly jolt, and looking at his face he knew it was from pain, he felt his heart clenched in pain in his chest.
He took a deep breath to center himself and lifted his hand and ran it through his brother's hair, he continued to do it to soothe his brother's pain, one thing was for sure, there is no way any of these people will get off easy today, "Yoshiki, what happened?"
But before he could get an answer, there was a rash of footsteps and then suddenly there were police officers in the room, and the loud ruckus caused Yoshiki to jolt again, and he could clearly see the pain now, and where exactly it was originating from because Yoshiki hands contacted his lap.
He felt his throat close up, from the way his brother was reacting from even the slightest bit of movement, he was horrified by measures, what if his brother was injured for life, his brother may just be traumatized by this, but most important of all, some bastard damaged his favorite body part, he was going to kill someone today.
The police were going crazy from all the serial killer cases that were popping up their forces were stretched thin, so they placed undercover officers in every place the victims disappeared from, but today they finally had some luck and found a suspect for the bride killer.
Then Kenchiki cleared his throat loudly to gain the attention of a room full of people who were too busy crowding around the stupid crybaby while his brother, who was seriously injured, was being ignored.
When he finally gained their attention, he looked at them with murderous eyes, "Anyone of you cares to explain why my brother is injured so badly."
The woman wearing the pencil suit looked at him, and he could see the clear disdain she held in her eyes. "Who are you, and how did you get here? Your brother tried to touch a woman inappropriately in public and is currently being detained for the safety of our customers."
Kenchiki looked back at Yoshiki. He knew his brother would never do something like that.
He looked back at the woman, but dismissed her intently. He looked at the closest police officer. "I don't recall seeing a law that allowed people to injure others in broad daylight and the police can detain them back with no evidence. "
He looked on in interest as the man paled, his heart finally relaxed, he was afraid that Yoshiki may have been up to no good while he wasn't paying that close of attention in the past, it wouldn't surprise him if he tried to strangle a woman in the middle of the store.
"We have evidence." The crying woman, for the first time, looked up. She was even more ugly when you could see her entire face.
"Really, I would love to see the so-called evidence you have." Kenchiki's voice was getting colder and colder. There was a cold and dark look in his eyes and a little of insanity mixed in.
He turned his eyes on the officer closest to the door, "I want a cold pack for my brother, why are you still standing there."
The man visibly jumped, but he composed himself quickly, in all his life he had never felt smaller than he did at the moment, he quickly opened the door and went to find a cold pack, he could feel the killing intent floating through the room, he left with cold sweat on the back of his neck.
He went back to kneel beside his brother, the sweat on his forehead was increasing. He needed to get his brother to the hospital; he removed a hand handkerchief from his jacket and started wiping his brow. Moving the matted hair from his eyes and back onto his head, he heard a quiet hum coming from his brother.
He heard the door open again and found that the officer was back. He was holding a pack of frozen peas in his hand. "I'm sorry I couldn't find a cold pack but this should work too."
He took the package from him and placed it on the ground; he caught his brother's hands which were placed on top of his crotch and removed them slowly, but even with the care Yoshiki still jolted with pain, he soothed one of his hands across Yoshiki's forehead and through his hair, waiting until he relaxed a little then completely removed his hand and grasped them both in one of his hands.
Picking up the frozen peas, he quickly placed them in Yoshiki's lap and held on to his hands tightly with both hands.
There was another jolt of pain that passed through Yoshiki's frame. He was sweating and his pain held a pained expression. He held on until he calmed down. When he saw the frozen peas doing their job and bring some relief to him, he placed his hand on top of the peas. He stood up and turned back to the people inside the room.
"You claimed to have evidence that my brother was doing inappropriate things in public. I want to see the evidence now."
The crying woman who had now stopped crying stood up, "I'm the evidence, I'm an undercover policewoman, your brother approached me from behind, crowded me into the fridge and tried to touch my chest, I tried to resist but he twisted my hands around my back, so I kicked my foot back out of reflex."
Kenchiki looked at the woman stupidly, he now knew that his brother was injured over a small misunderstanding, there was no way his brother would touch a woman since their parents died he avoided getting close to any person, except him which was for the best, people would try to take advantage over his brother, like this woman.
He looked down at the so-called chest, "I barely see anything, it's so balanced a plane can land on it."
Everyone: "......."
Everyone in the room turned to look, and it really was flat. The other woman looked too and snickered while looking away.
Kenchiki looked on as the woman's face turned red and tears started gleaming in her eyes. He could also see shame. Dismissing her altogether he looked at the man standing behind the desk in the office, he was a short man, round-faced, with small dark eyes and a round nose, dark hair, and wearing black pants and a blue dress shirt and held an air of peace around his entire frame.
Kenchiki concluded the man was the owner of the store. "Do you have surveillance cameras in the store, that we can look at to see what exactly happened there?" Kenchiki could see the shock in everyone's faces, they didn't think of doing something as simple as that, he was beyond infuriated, and also worried about what would have happened had his brother have him today, would he have been mistreated by these fools. Yes, all these people here today will pay for his brother's mistreatment.
"Yes, yes, we have surveillance cameras, we can access them from my computer," the man was pointing at a small computer on his desk, "well what are you waiting for, get on with it," he hissed angrily, he needed to hurry and get his brother to the hospital.
They all tried to crowd around the small computer when Kenchiki felt the woman that hurt his brother brush up against him. He gave her a dirty look.
The video of what happened popped up, and the owner played the video. In the video the first clip is of Yoshiki looking back and forth between two packages of cheese, white and yellow, the woman was on the other side of the area, trying to reach for milk at a high shelf, Yoshiki, on the other hand, had got both kinds of cheese and moved away from the fridge that held the cheese, he stood there and looked around, seeing nothing he turned the woman's way, and approached her, bringing his cart with him, he stopped and approached her from behind. They watched as he brought his hand around hers which were still reaching for the milk still, before he could even fully get his hands around her's, she suddenly turned and started hitting him while yelling p*****t, and they watched as he tried to avoid getting hit, but couldn't, and then suddenly she was being held by him with her arms twisted behind her back, then they all watched and sighed with sympathy when her foot kicked his crotch.
"See, I told you it was self-defense." The woman was holding her head up in pride.
"Self-defense? my brother didn't even touch you until you started hitting him." Kenchiki angrily resorted.
"There is no need to get so angry, sir. It was just a case of misunderstanding."
Kenchiki turned to look at the source of the voice and food a young man in police uniform, dark gray eyes, windswept hair, straight nose, strong face with high cheekbones and straight eyebrows, and calmly look on his face, Kenchiki hated him on sight.
"Who are you to tell me to calm down? One of your colleagues hurt my brother for no apparent reason other than him standing too close to her."
"I'm Alister Wang, a police officer."
"Is that supposed to mean something?" Kenchiki looked at him, face stoic, while he was trying to figure out his brother's intentions in approaching that woman, what if his brother approached her to get a date because he didn't want to be involved with him, the more he thought the further his eyes darkened.
