"Host, I found the perfect company to build the playground. It's called Natural Playgrounds."
“Really?” Ryden got up in an instant after hearing the good news from Daisuke.
"Yes, Host. Natural Playgrounds Company designs and builds green, sustainable playgrounds. I picked them because for twenty years they've been designing, and for seven years building, this country's most beautiful, intriguing, cost-effective, philosophically appropriate natural playgrounds! Overall, they're a perfect fit for the job,” Daisuke explained the details.
"What about people and the equipment necessary to build the playground?" he asked excitedly.
"We don't need to worry about either of them because they hire and get their equipment to make it easier for their clients and customers. It also helps them because they don't need to worry about them being pushed out of their comfort zone and forced to use equipment they have never worked with before. They only use natural resources to make playgrounds across the world. And the best of all, most of their workers and crews have children already, which makes them even more qualified. They all make sure everything is safe and they can't be bought by anyone."
"They seem to be too good to be true." He sounded skeptical.
"They're not. It just looks that way because they're honest and upfront about their company. I have already contacted them and made them aware of the project and they agreed to build the playground."
"I guess, I just need to complete at least two missions," he told Daisuke. He sat down on the sofa, and rubbed his temples gently.
"You're not counterattacking against the protagonist?" Daisuke asked.
"I don't need to counterattack against the protagonist. He will be too busy proving himself to the male lead, while also sabotaging himself because the male lead will monitor him," he explained.
"What about making him meet a terrible end?"
"I have a good and long time to make him meet a terrible end, if he doesn't do it himself." Ryden smiled after saying this. He thought what good it would bring him if he attacked now. There’s still time for that.
"Host, Damon is currently coming out of the elevator to your floor, and he is also carrying his suitcase and luggage."
"What!?” asked Ryden while sitting up on the sofa he was lying on previously."
"What on God's green land is he doing here, and with his suitcase and luggage? I thought he was with the male lead's mom, and I assumed he was staying with them. Besides, I thought he and Ryden only had a one-night stand?" Daisuke blurted out.
Looking deeper into Ryden's memories, he saw what Daisuke meant.
They have known each other longer than that. They met when they were five years old. Damon was being bullied by some children. Ryden beat them up, and since then, where Ryden went, Damon went. Over time, they become best friends.
One night, about a week before they started university, they went to a house party and got drunk. Coming home, they were so out of it that suddenly there was a different kind of tension between them. They kissed and slept together. Both decided for the sake of their friendship and promised that they should not sleep together again.
Unfortunately, they didn't stop; their attraction to each other was too strong. They only came to a stop when Damon went to the States. And because they were both so busy and lived in different countries with different time zones; they lost contact over the years. But they still consider each other the best of friends and family.
Ryden heard the door ringing and got up to open it, but before he was even halfway across the room, the door swung open by itself. Shocked, he stood there as Damon brought his luggage into the room before closing the door.
Ryden immediately snapped out of it and asked, "How did you get a key to my place?”
Damon rolled his eyes. "I just came home, and that's the first thing you ask? You're so heartless, Ryden, darling".
Ryden just stood there and kept staring at him.
Damon said while laughing, "I told them I was your lover who wanted to surprise you with a visit but forgot that I had no key, and then promptly showed them a picture of you and me kissing".
Ryden was shocked and speechless.
Daisuke felt he had just malfunctioned after hearing Damon spout things.
"Host, I just think a hungry wolf who wants to get into someone’s pants walked into your home."
"What!?" Ryden snapped at him.
"Well, on the bright side, he prefers being eaten, so you don't have to worry about not getting out of bed for work."
