Akira stood there like a statue while the stranger continued to kiss Ryden's lips. The man held his face with both his hands and kissed him like he was his lover.
Ryden didn’t react at the kiss and the man seemed to understand that there was something off about the way Ryden was acting and stopped kissing him.
He took a step back. There was no change in Ryden's expression other than the shock in his eyes, and from his face, you couldn't tell that they had been apart for years.
"Daisuke, who the hell is this man? Why is he kissing me?" he asked, surprised and confused.
“I believe he is Damon Hiroshi, who is the cousin of the male lead.”
"You didn't mention him to me, so why is he here? Also, is he the lover of the original owner?" he continued asking Daisuke.
“He was not mentioned in the plot because he was in another country when it took place, and he was nothing more than a passer-by character. The original owner didn't have a lover at this point in the plot.”
"So how did they know each other?" Ryden grew even more confused.
“In the original story, Ryden and Damon had a one-night stand while Ryden was in high school, and they later became good friends,” Daisuke stated.
"Oh, I wasn't aware that Ryden was bent," he was surprised.
“He was, but never had a relationship. He only ever slept with Damon.”
While he was talking with Daisuke, the man seemed to understand that there was something off about the way Ryden was acting and stopped kissing him. He took a step back. There was no change in Ryden's expression other than the shock in his eyes, and from his face, you couldn't tell that they had been apart for years.
The man by the name of Damon Hiroshi is a passer-by in the plot, but after Ryden's death, he tries to find the truth of what happened to Ryden because he believed him to be innocent. Eventually, after a series of unfortunate events, he stumbled upon the truth and flew into a rage.
Damon tried to get the main lead, Manuel Hisashi to see the truth, but by then Katsuro had Manuel wrapped around his little finger. Damon tried to kill Katsuro as revenge for Ryden but failed because of the protagonist’s "Halo", and then Manuel had Damon tortured to death for daring to kill Manuel’s beloved.
Akira was left speechless. How could someone kill their own family for their so-called beloved? It's one thing if they receive the proper punishment, but it's an entirely different thing to t*****e someone to death.
It seems that neither of the protagonists in this world took the lives of others seriously at all.
Akira snapped out of his thoughts and looked up and down at the man while hooking a smile to his lips and said, "Damon, it's been a long time."
Damon laughed. "I didn't expect you to be shocked to see me. I even called you last night, but you didn't pick up so I left a voicemail for you to let you know I would be back in the country today."
Akira invited Damon to take a seat on one chair and went behind the desk himself.
"Damon, shouldn't you still be abroad?”Akira asked.
Damon smiled. "I was planning to originally, but aunt Michiko demanded that I come home for a visit. It has been a long time since I have been home. I decided a visit wouldn't hurt anyway since I'm a private lawyer. I don't have to work unless I wish to."
"You're as lazy as always." Ryden laughed gently.
"Hey! I'm better than I was in school. I wake up at two in the afternoon, instead of every two days," he proudly announced.
Ryden and Daisuke were both shocked.
How is it even humanly possible for someone to really sleep for two days straight?
Akira was speechless and couldn't help but be worried about this person's head. He couldn't help but wonder if he was dropped when he was a child.
