The neighbours In the meantime, to face the boring recovery period at best, I had got the habit of spending those beautiful days of the beginning of spring in the garden of Italo’s house. This thing had different positive aspects: firstly I was out in the open air, far from Smurf’s mischief and from his hair, also I could have splendid naps on an old and soft mattress. Sometimes I spent hours studying ants, lizards and butterflies, since I couldn’t run around to catch them I had to settle for watching them, so I learnt many new things especially about ants.
