Ariston helped the young woman board the carriage they had used to fetch her. Once they were inside, they immediately left the place behind. Inside the carriage, the young woman remained silent as she stared out the window, tightly holding the image she had been carrying in her hands for some time. While she continued looking outside the window, Ariston could not help but stare at the young woman’s face, watching as tears continuously fell from her eyes. “Why are you crying now that you have finally left that family?” Ariston asked the young woman while sitting across from her. The young woman immediately wiped away her tears and turned to Ariston with a smile on her face. “Please forgive me. I just cannot fully comprehend that I have finally left that family after living with them for such a long time,” the young woman answered before turning her gaze back outside the window of the carriage they were riding in. It was already getting dark when they finally arrived at the palace. A man immediately opened the carriage door, bowed, and offered his hand to the young woman, helping her step down from the carriage they had traveled in. After she stepped down, Ariston immediately led her inside the palace hall. There, she saw a man sitting on a stone throne with a deep black surface, while every edge of it was surrounded by golden decorations. “My dear Alpha, the woman you requested has arrived,” Ariston said while bowing before the man seated on the throne. The man immediately stood from his stone throne and approached them. He then nodded at Ariston, who immediately understood what the man meant. “Welcome to my kingdom. How are you? How was your journey?” the man asked before introducing himself to the young woman. “My name is Lucian Veyron Nightshade.” “I-I’m fine,” the young woman answered nervously. Lucian smiled at her and immediately took the young woman’s hand, leading her into a room. “Wait, what are you going to do with me? Why did you bring me here?” Vera asked the young man. “Do not worry. I have no intention of harming you. This will be your room in my palace because I want you to become my queen. For now, you will be my princess since we are not yet married,” Lucian said to the young woman. Vera’s face immediately turned red because of what the young man had said. “What do you mean? What are you saying about becoming your wife? I do not even know you yet. I thought bringing me here would only lead to my death. And why did you bring me to this room?” Vera asked the young man. Lucian immediately burst into laughter because of the words spoken by the young woman. “Why are you laughing at me? Is there something funny about what I said?” Vera asked him. The only response the young man gave her was a smile before he immediately left the room. As the young man walked out of the room, two women with leaf-shaped ears entered.
