Charlie ran a hand through his hair in frustration. Almost instinctively, he pulled out his phone to check whether I'd messaged him. Only then did he realize, I hadn't contacted him once in the past three days. For the first time, panic settled into his chest. I had always been the clingy one. Even if he ignored my texts, I'd still send him a message every few hours. Silence from me was unheard of. Then another thought hit him. He'd walked into my apartment earlier without even knocking.
