Caleb I slammed the car door harder than I intended. The satisfying thud echoed in my ears, but it did nothing to quiet the rage boiling inside me. Sonya lingered in the driveway, balancing on stilettos like a porcelain doll at the edge of fracturing. She was too stunned and seething after our explosive argument. I didn’t care. Not anymore.
