[CHAPTER EIGHT Pandemonium ] [SIENNA'S POINT OF VIEW] The headmaster asked me to be Viktor's partner for a party held in a hotel and I had no plans so I agreed. My mouth hung open as I looked at Viktor approaching me with his trademark perfect slicked back hair and elegant black tuxedo. "Close your mouth. Don't embarrass me tonight, Sienna." I glared at him and he held my hand paused in mid-air and fed me the cake I was about to eat with the fork I held. "Now, smile and don't waste your red long gown." *** I swear that this stupid guy is still a narcissist and sometimes I do have the urge to smack him silly but you just got to accept people's uniqueness. He was busy talking with a group of other people and I left the room and headed towards the far, far side which was the pool. I observed the moonlight shining on the waters when someone closed and lock the glass double doors behind me. I turned around to see Cedrick. "Sienna." "It's Miracle." I spat. This narrow minded i***t, I cursed. I felt my blood boil as I looked at him. He looked blinding too but if he stood beside Viktor, he felt like a supporting character. "Sienna, are you and Viktor together?" "Huh? Yeah." I could care less how he understood. I wanted him to piss him off. "I know you're angry but really? Viktor?" "Excuse me, Hughes?" "I'm a whole lot better. Break up with him Sienna. I like you." Huh? I believe I had my mouth agape as I looked at the i***t before me. What is he spouting? "I only like you as a friend but now we're no longer one." "Come on, Sienna." He grabbed my hand and pulled me closer. He was continuing on with his sweet words and he ignored my protests In the middle of struggling, he accidentally grabbed my pendant and the silver chain snapped. I wanted to pick it up but he continued his act. I felt anger surge within me as I gathered strength in my leg. He might've been drunk; his face was flushed red I thought as he attempted something outrageous. He leaned in for a kiss when I planned to kick him there but someone got to me first. A fist connected with his face and he stumbled and almost fell in the pool. The two engaged in a fist fight and I tried to stop them but my heels suddenly bent and I tripped, hit my head on the side of the pool and fell with a silent splash. I saw their burred figures fighting and I lowly lost consciousness as I sank deeper. The next thing I felt was something soft pressed against my lips, I opened my eyes to see a drenched Viktor with clear worry in his eyes. I broke into a coughing fit and he helped me by rubbing my back. He grabbed his dry coat laid on a nearby chair and draped it over me. I felt a throbbing pain at the side of my head and nodded as he said that we would be going home. He grabbed his phone to call someone and I heard shouting on the other line of the phone. His grandfather most likely I deduced. I frowned when I heard the other side scolding. Viktor hung up and smiled at me. "Let's go." "You weren't allowed to be wet?" "Yeah..." he sheepishly said. "But it's fine." His eyes held a sincere light that I believed his words in a heartbeat and after that second heartbeat was the opposite of what he said. He let me go and he held his head as if he was in extreme pain. He began screaming and I rushed up to him when he pushed me and I stumbled back. "Go away!" He yelled. His voice was switching to his normal voice and a demonic one. "Viktor!" I called out to him. He fainted and I managed to catch him in time. His eyes were tightly shut like he was in the middle of a fierce mental fight. Eventually, he relaxed and stayed unconscious. I grabbed his nearby phone on the ground to call for help but a hand with iron grip shot out and clenched around my neck. The phone fell from my hands and I tried to separate what was strangling me with great force. I was raised to the air and I was losing oxygen as I longed for air. I was flailing wildly and as I looked down, I saw Viktor-his beautiful dark brown eyes, red. I could see black dots dancing around my vision when something hit Viktor and he let me go. I fell down and a p air of arms caught me. I darted my eyes and met. Cole's eyes. The nurse's assistant. "Mr Cole?" I asked after a series of coughs. "Hide behind me." He shortly said and pushed me behind him. I saw Joelyn with a dagger in her right hand and a sword on the left, fighting Viktor. Cole provided support by chanting some kind of spell and I saw Viktor shouting in pain. "VIKTOR!" I was confused but above all, angry that they were hurting my friend. I rushed up to shield him and the two stopped their attacks. Viktor flashed beside me and took me hostage. We were in a deadlock. [JOELYN'S POV] I gripped both my weapons with greater strength and searched for any loopholes on the devil's defences as I stayed in a crouched position. There were pretty much none since it used Sienna as a shield. Cole met my eyes and we nodded together when suddenly I noticed a shining object beside my leg. An idea came up as I stared at it; I looked back at Cole and slashed my dagger slightly to the left twice. His eyes twinkled and he yelled out to gather the devil's attention. [SIENNA'S POV] I felt fear oozing from my body as I was in close contact with Viktor. He was different; he was not the Viktor I knew. H looked the same but something felt wrong that I couldn't help but think that this was not the Viktor I knew. I was calling out his name but he answered with growls and faint laughter accompanied with thick darkness in each sound. "Hey bloke!" Cole suddenly called out. My heart was beating erratically and I shouted for him to stop but he went on. "You stupid i***t! I'll send you back to the fires!" he provoked. The anomaly within Viktor reacted and he let me go. His nails grew into blood red claws and continuously dripped blood. Viktor grew fangs or something akin to a shark or monster and he dashed towards Cole. I stared horrified at the scene. I wanted to close my eyes but even my eyes were frozen in fear. A bright green light hit Viktor and he bled out red blood. He hissed in pain. I couldn't help but want to protect him. He was possessed by something but his blood was still red, he was still human! I saw Joelyn with newfound strength, both her weapons coated in a green light and it seemed to scare Viktor as he kept a safe distance. Cole threw out talismans with some kind of writing and various elements like fire or lightning came out and hurt Viktor. I managed to stand up and I planned to stop the fight even if I didn't know how to but a hand pulled me away. It pulled me into a running pace. It was taking away far from here. It belonged to Cedrick Hughes. Being the sporty guy that he was, I couldn't contest his strength and he pulled me into a stop as he found a good place inside the forest. He faced me and I saw the determined glint in his eyes and the fresh bruises on his face. His stunning looks were now distorted by the purples and cuts around his face.
