[CHAPTER TWO Lotus Academy] --- [Sienna Miracle's POV]  "I'm Sienna Miracle. Stay away from me, I can see the dead." I curtly said. All of them looked at me and began asking questions. Some was basic and others a bit personal.  "Okay, ask her later when you have no class." The teacher strictly said. I think the teacher basked in satisfaction, thinking he was the reason the students settled down but I believe it was because of my infamous glare. Mr. Swift-our adviser had his hair gelled like the top of an ice cream or like some exquisitely made poop. He somewhat looked like a proud rooster, parading his crown with head held up high. I'm impressed with my description skills when I noticed he had his lips stiffly pouted like a chicken's beak or some nerve malfunction. There were only two vacant chairs and I sat on the chair with better quality. The other one looked like it survived the bombs and gunshots of the war.  Seriously? The Lotus Academy, known to be the best had chairs like this? Ridiculous.  "Ms. Miracle, that seat is occupied already please take a seat with the other one." My classmates had colorful expressions within them, pity, amusement, mockery and laughing faces. They acted like this was a normal occurrence and me being the center of was natural. What in the world? Does he mean that once the owner is present, I should sit in that run-down chair?  Looks like the teacher is maltreating me since I don't exactly look like I belong in some high class family or own a chain of companies or earn millions. "Lotus Academy still used chairs like this?" I voiced out. "Is there a problem, Ms. Miracle?" He asked like he hadn't noticed the heaven and earth difference of my supposed chair. The faint ridicule in his eyes that he tried to hide was seen by my sharp gaze. "Nothing sir, I just think that this quality does no justice to the school's reputation, right sir?" I said the last word with deep sarcasm. Each word that flowed out of my mouth slowly made the teacher's face contort into an unsightly sight. "Ms-"I cut him off by popping my bubblegum. Do know that this is my third gum. "Teachers who are negligent of their own room's condition exist in the Lotus Academy. If that is so, aren't public schools in towns better?"  I could practically see the vein in his forehead. He was close to snapping and all the more when he realized that I meant him. The bell rang and his words were left unheard. "What was that sir? You could continue next time when it's your time again. But if I'm seated comfortably, I don't have interest in this topic anymore." I tried my best to smile like a naïve girl. I think that he wasn't used to having a student talk back and embarrass him since he basically looked like he was choking on his anger. I believe he wasn't that good in cutting people off or that he never had this type of conversation.  The poor guy. He must've been very proud of this school and a little insult like that had him pissed. LOL. "Don't worry Ms. Miracle. That...chair will soon be replaced..." He was shaking in trying to control his rage. I cut him off for the second time by adding the words, "by a better one!" I just couldn't help to verbally anger someone once they treat me unjustly. My sharp tongue can render people speechless, most of the time but this time, I only gave a tiny demonstration of its might. I huffed when I realized why I didn't use my sharp tongue on that narcissistic guy earlier. What I did seem to made people look at me with awe. I think the only thing preventing them to talk to me was because of my eyes.  A girl with brown curls and green eyes approached me and I heard my other classmates showering her whispers of praise for hr bravery. "Hey, I'm Iris Vilan, nice to meet you." She raised a hand for a shake. "...." I made no reply. I did respect her by looking at the person talking. She slowly took her hand back and made an awkward smile. It happened once again like with the guard. We both had a stare off and I busied my mouth with the gum so no sharp comments would fly out. I popped the bubble and after it burst, Iris 'bursted' out of her daze. "Um, how about I take you a tour of the school this lunch?" she suggested. Still not backing off huh? Peer pressure? Is that it? Or does she have the urge to show off or something? Heh. Well, sorry to burst your bubble or some- then I realized that how much I need a tour. I wouldn't want to run to that guy again. This tour might dampen my no-sense-of-direction trait. "Sure."  "Wow, really?"  I didn't know what her next words were since I had already plugged earphones in my ears to block their noise. Iris returned to her chair after seeing unapproachable aura and the class surrounded her with obvious interest about her experience of speaking with me. Youth today sure has different interest compared in the past. [Narrator's POV]  -Sienna didn't know that most of her classmates were looking for a good show to watch after she did that to the teacher.- [Sienna Miracle's POV]  I played some music to block everything.  *** The lunch bell rang. Iris was still friendly enough to show me around and join me in the cafeteria. It seems that the usual two people she hangs out with were sick and the other was currently travelling because of an emergency.  What am I, a type of reservoir? I pushed back my plate, my appetite lost. "You're not eating?" she asked. I looked at my plate then her. Why ask what's blatantly clear? I appreciate her effort in being friendly with me, I don't know if she's dared to or this is actually her responsibility but seeing her struggling to get along with me is amusing in its own right. Despite my impolite and silent treatment of Iris, she filled me the details that I needed to know about school and people who I shouldn't mess with. I zoned out when all the things she said were things I already know and stopped zoning when she filled me with real details. Every grade or year, there are always seven sections-Lotus, Dream, Pure, Elegance, Wreath, Spring and Sky. Dream, Pure, Elegance sections are the top three sections of the girls respectively. Same goes for the last three sections but it's for the boys. The Lotus is for both genders and it's the section for brilliant students.  Our uniform consists of a white Victorian styled blouse but lose the excessive ruffles and laces, a sharp fitting white blazer and a white skirt that ended up below the knees. What made our uniform look really formal yet feminine were the white stockings, the silk and elegant white ribbon and the 2-inch-heel-lace-up-Victorian-ankle-boots. The boys simply wore a blouse, vest, blazer and pants with formal shoes. Of course, all in white. "Is that so?" I answered uninterestedly but she continued on. One of the famous boys was Cedrick Hughes of the Spring, Alex Black of the Spring and Viktor Blaz Wisdom of the Lotus. Cedrick was known as the flirt, Alex as the boy-next-door and Viktor as the mysterious type, found famous for his talents. Only a few have seen him though. Iris said the Spring section is a real powerhouse since they have two of the famous guys but I doubt if that's the main reason they are a powerhouse.  From the start of school, the sections are already ranked but it could be changed depending on the class's performance. Basically, since Spring is, she quotes, I said, "A real powerhouse." Then maybe at the next ranking they'd be the top again. Lotus Academy sure has a direct way of fanning competition and I don't think it's friendly. Aside from the interesting grading system and ranking system, I think hanging out with Iris Vilan is not so bad. What could hurt me in school?
