Saving Our Luna

Mates

*Lukas POV*

"I found her! Near the bluff" Cole linked me and I ran as hard as my wolf could. I entered the clearing to see her small body in the grass. Cole brushed her hair out of her face and I saw a tear on his cheek. I knew I should be angry seeing him touch her, just as I had been angry to see him in her room alone while she changed. In this moment, though, I couldn't be. I walked over to her and stroked her cheek. I saw a flutter in her eyes. "Lace, please wake up" I looked up to see Cole's face look as if his heart was completely broken. It was the same way I was feeling, and I realized he loved her. I looked at my mate, and realized she was staring back at him with a look that shattered my soul. My mate, the very one made by the moon goddess to love me, loved my best friend.

She turned her eyes to me and I gave her a small smile. She sat up with both Cole and I watching her every move to make sure she was OK. She pulled her knees to her chest and opened her mouth to say something. I held up my hand cutting her off. "I'm sorry." I say looking between her and Cole. "I saw Cole in your room while you were changing and I just... saw red. Seeing an unmated male alone with you... I thought... "I clinched my jaw and closed my eyes, " something was going on.... between you two" She looked at the ground with her eye brows furrowed. "Little one, I can not apologize enough for hurting you. I never meant to do anything to hurt you. I was out of my mind. Can you ever forgive me?" I felt her hand caress my cheek. I looked and she nodded her head. I wrapped my arms around her and for a moment she leaned into my chest. She suddenly pulled back and looked at the ground again. "I asked Cole to stay. I was scared to be alone. I had come out of my room to look for you and ran into Cole. I asked him to sit with me until I fell asleep. He didn't do anything out of line..." she paused and closed her eyes before whispering "but I did."

    I looked at her and then to Cole who was shaking his head and staring at Lacey. I felt my breathing get harder. "No, Lace, you didn't. I did. I shouldn't have.." I stood up and started pacing. My heart beating painfully in my chest. "What... what did you guys do? Did...did you.." I clinched my jaw tightly. "NO! No, Luke, we didn't sleep together. Nothing really happened. We just... almost.... kissed." He pushed out and looked at me waiting for a reply. I took a few deep breaths fighting back the anger and hurt. I stopped pacing and rubbed my hands on my face. "Lacey," She jumped when I called her name. I knew I sounded angry but I couldn't help it. "Is that what you want? Do you want...to be with.... Cole. Do you want to reject... " I looked at the ground and closed my eyes. The thought of my mate rejecting me was unbearable. 

"NO! No." She shook her head fighting back tears. After a few minutes, she weakly replied "I don't know what I want, but I don't want to lose either of you". I dropped to my knees beside her and took her face in my large hands and looked deep in to her eyes. "I promised you, that you could have anything. I don't break promises. If you.... want to be with him, I will step back and allow it" I said with a large lump in my throat. 

I realized how much I had already come to love this woman. I wanted nothing more than to make her happy, but I thought I would be the one to do that. To my surprise, she stands up and lifts my head and stares into my eyes. "I'm confused. I have feelings for you Lukas. I want to be around you. I am happy and comfortable with you. I get excited to see you. You have started to show me what life with a mate can be." I smiled hearing that my mate cared for me. "But I also feel drawn to Cole." She turns to look at Cole. "Cole, with you, I feel free and calm. When I see you, it's like I breath a sigh of relief." I take in her words carefully. "I didn't have the best concept of mates, but even here, I see that once you find your mate that should be the only interest in your eyes. I do feel connected to you, but I also feel drawn to Cole" She looks down biting her lip. I see a tear start to fall down her cheek.

At the same time, Cole and I got the sense someone was near us. We both stood in front of Lacey growling. "Calm down boys. Surely you wouldn't attack your moon goddess?" Just then a beautiful yet motherly looking woman shows herself from behind a tree. She had an aura about her and her hair gently flowed as if blown by the wind, though there was none. "Selene?" I asked in awe. "Yes, Lukas. I'm sure you have some questions. I'm sure you all do" She says as she gently smiles looking over the three of us. Her eyes land behind me. "Ah, my sweet,Lacey. Please come here, dear." I turned to see Lacey's eyes wide with fear. I take her hand and squeeze giving her a reassuring nod. She slowly walked between us and made her way in front of the moon goddess. Selene gently places her hand on Lacey's cheek.

"First, I want to tell you how strong you are. I have seen the suffering you have faced at the hands of some of my lost children. This is not the way any of my children should be treated. I decided to mate you to Lukas, because while he is very strong and capable to protect you, he is also one the the most caring and compassionate of my children. He has a deep understanding and respect for mates. He may not be able to heal your scars, but he can sooth the pain in your soul, if you let him." I feel Cole shift beside my and out of the corner of my eye, I see a pained expression on his face. "Moon Goddess, " Lacey is interrupted with the goddess holding up her hand. "Just Selene, dear child" Lacey nods. "I feel the connection to Lukas, but I'm confused. I have a strong pull towards Cole as well. I don't mean any harm to either of them, but I can't stop this feeling in my heart"

I watch Selene as she smiles looking at Cole and me again. "I can explain that. There is a reason you feel this pull. Cole was made to be your second chance mate" Cole and I gasp at the same time. "Does this mean..." I start thinking of something taking me away from Lacey. "No, no child. Do not worry. I can not foresee your deaths, as the possibilities shift with each decision made. Second chance mates are put in to place for wolves in the event that their mates do meet their demise or reject them. It's a way to make sure my wolves are taken care of. However, most do not feel the pull of the mate bond to their second chance mate until the bond with their first mates are severed. It appears that the connection between you three have brought this connection to surface. Cole, Lukas, you two share a connection since birth. Your mothers raised you so close, you developed as close as twins. You even complete each other personality wise. Because of the fact you care for each other so, it's allowed Lacey to bond you both."

I look at Lacey and try to process this information. She is biting her lip and looking between Cole and I. I look over and Cole and see him tugging at his hair. "Does this mean, if...can they both.... mark me..." Lacey stutters trying to ask what we all want to know. Selene giggles "If you allow, the boys can mate and mark you at the same time, which will allow you to form an equal bond to them both. You will have two mates." She slowly nods her head and furrows her eye brows. "Would I be... uhm... like Luke?" Cole speaks for the first time. "Yes. You will no longer be considered her second chance mate. Just her mate." Selene looks between the three of us again. "I assume you all have a lot to discuss. It is time I go" She turns to Lacey.

    "Oh, and my sweet Lacey, I want to give you a gift." she held out her hand and a necklace appears. The pendant was a white gold crescent moon. She placed it on Lacey's neck. "I have blessed this necklace with the power of protection. While you wear this, any form of poisons and witchcraft can not effect you, your wolf will be as strong as the strongest Alpha, wolfs bane and silver will not kill you. Though be cautious because it can still hurt. Unfortunately I can't completely keep the pain away. Never take this necklace off, and you will be protected my daughter." She kisses Lacey on the forehead and hugs her. Before anything else can be said, she was gone. Lacey turned to look between Cole and I biting her lip. "I think we need to talk" She says and turns to walk towards the pack house.

*Cole POV*

My mind raced with what had happened in the last 24 hours. From almost kissing Lacey, to the being in her room fighting Lukas, chasing after her finding her at the cliff, to finding out that if she accepted me, I could have her as a mate. Share her as a mate, I guess I should say. Would Lukas actually agree to share his mate? If he doesn't, would Lacey reject me? Hell, does Lacey even want two mates? She was raised to fear having a mate and now she potentially has two. My stomach churned until I felt her hand brush mine. I looked up and saw her giving me a small smile. She is just beautiful. I have fallen in love with her. The thought of her being my mate just made my heart race.

We walk in to find the house quiet. The other members had went in to the city, leaving the house to just the three of us. "Are you hungry, Lace?" I asked walking towards the kitchen. "Actually, yeah. I'm kinda starving" She said shyly. I walked over to the freezer and pulled out her favorite. Stuffed crust supreme pizza. She tried it one of her first days here and I swear the girl has ate 15 of them, not that I mind. She had gained weight since she had been here and no longer being starved. Her curves had filled out and I couldn't get enough of those hips. I got the pizza cooking and fixed our drinks. "I'm gonna go get cleaned up. Can you guys meet me in my room when the food is done?" I agreed and watched her eyes drift over to Lukas.

    Lukas was quietly sitting on the couch in the living room. I grabbed a bottle of whiskey and poured him a drink. I nodded my head to her, silently asking her to give us a minute. She walked up the steps leaving us alone. I walked over Lukas and nudged him with the drink. He looked up and nodded at me as he took the glass out of my hand. I sat in the chair across from him with my own glass. We downed our glasses silently. "You love her" I looked up to see him staring at me, studying my face. I knew it wasn't a question, but a statement. "Yes" I answered honestly. He nodded his head slightly before going back to his drink. I stared at my best friend, my alpha. "I didn't mean... I don't..." I shook my head trying to find the words. I never intended on falling for my best friend's mate. I definitely didn't expect to hear that I was her second chance mate with the opportunity to have her. "I know" He nearly whispered. "If she decides to... will you be OK with.... sharing?"

"I meant what I said. Whatever makes my mate happy, I will do. If she wants both of us to love her, that's what she will have." I nodded. "Thank you, Luke. I promise, I will love and protect her with everything in me...if she let's me." He gave a slight nod before pushing my shoulder back. "Don't get all sappy now. Save it for Lacey" I laughed and punched his shoulder. We kicked back and hung out like normal until we heard the timer for the pizza. We grabbed the pizza and drinks and headed to Lacey's room.

LACEY POV

I made my way to my bathroom to clean up. I had gotten dirt all over me from running through the woods and being on the ground so I quickly stripped and started washing myself. I got out and fixed my hair into loose curls. My mind race with the decision I had to make. Could I honestly handle having two mates? I had come a long way with my comfort with having Lukas as a mate, but I still had not been able to allow him to mate or mark me. Now I also have Cole. My heart was drawn to him and so was my body. Could I be enough to give them both what they need? As I looked in the mirror, I couldn't help but feel my heart swell at the thought of having two men who wanted to show me how to love. I was plain, I was scarred. My body was used. I knew I could not let my past abuse rule my future, but there will always be physical and emotional scars. 

I heard the timer beeps down stairs alerting me that the pizza was done. They would be up here in a minute. I ran to my dresser and pulled out a red lace lingerie set and pulled it on. I threw my thin black robe over it and tied it. Just as I sat on the bed, the door opened. Lukas walked in holding the pizza with Cole following behind with plates and drinks. They set them on the table before turning to me. At that moment, I didn't care about the food. I stood up, staring at my mates. Wow, even now I already think of them both as my mates. I knew I wanted this. 

I bit my lips and heard them both growl lowly. I smirked and lifted my hands to untie the robe and let it fall to the ground revealing my body with the tiny lingerie being it's only cover. I took a step towards them as they both approached me. I placed a hand on both of their cheeks gently as I leaned in to kiss Cole. It may have been our first kiss but it was like our lips had known each other for a lifetime. We gently yet eagerly kissed, giving in to the feelings we had been fighting. As we broke apart I turned to Lukas, feeling his strong but soft kiss against me. I felt his hands wrap around my waist to my ass. I then felt Cole wrap his arms around me from behind and his lips land on my neck working it way to my shoulder. His hands slowly moving up to cup my breast. "Are you sure about this little one?" Lukas whispered. "We can stop at anytime princess" Cole added. 

I let myself hesitate one last time, despite knowing with all my heart what I wanted. "Please... mark me... both of you" I begged looking at both sets of eyes. They had both grown dark, almost identical. Lukas picked me up wrapping my legs around his waist as he carried me over to bed and laying me down. I sat up on my elbows as I watched Cole remove his shirt before sliding out of his jeans. I felt the heat build in my stomach and move to my core as I felt the familiar wetness. I noticed a smirk come across his face. "Like what you see princess?" I bit my lip and crawled over to the end of the bed. I looked up at him and nodded. "Words, princess" he urged. "Yes, Sir" I said seductively biting my lip. He groaned and pulled me up for a kiss, this one hot and passionate. His hands roamed my body. As he kissed down my neck I glanced over to see Lukas had stripped down to his boxers. Again a shot of heat traveled down my body. 

I felt Cole gently pushing me back on the bed. Lukas climbed in behind me. I felt his hands unhook my bra the he slid the straps down my arms and took it off. At the same time, Cole was pulling my panties down my legs. The pure lust in his eyes mesmerizing as he studied my now naked body for the first time. Out of habit, I tried to hide my scars on my abdomen. "Don't." Lukas said firmly as he pulled my hands above my head. "You are beautiful, princess. Don't ever hide yourself from us" Cole mumbled kissing my scars. He took my n****e in his mouth as Lukas took the other, each giving all their attention to my body. Cole worked his way down my stomach to core. He kissed the scars on my thighs before gently rubbing his fingers between my folds to my c**t. He bent his head down and flicked his tongue on my c**t, as I bit my lip fighting a moan. "Let us hear you little one" Lukas demanded before sucking and nipping at my neck and pinching my n*****s. "Yes, Alpha" I moaned making him groan. 

I pulled his boxers down revealing his large d**k. He raised up allowing me lick up his shaft, flicking my tongue over his head before taking him into my mouth. Hearing him hiss and groan, which encouraged me to suck even harder. I felt myself coming undone as Cole slipped a finger then two, inside me, curling his fingers to hit my spot. I began to pants and moan against Lukas. As I felt my release, Lukas also found his, shooting down my mouth. I swallowed and licked him clean. "Goddess, little one, you are perfect" Lukas moaned. "So beautiful" Cole whispered kissing back up my body. I preened at the compliments of my mates. I sat up and began kissing my way down Cole's chest before taking his head into my mouth as I began to run my tongue around it and gently sucking. He pulled my hair together into a pony and he kept a tight hold, but careful not to hurt me. I felt Lukas rubbing his hands up my thighs and kissing and biting gently before he began to run his tongue between my fold tasting me. "You are so f*****g sweet little one" He mumbles before continuing his assault on my core. His words make me drip more on his mouth. He begins to work his fingers into both of my holes gently. The sensation though uncomfortable at first, became pleasant causing me to moan as I sucked Cole. His breathing and his tightened grip on my hair lets me know he is close. I feel my own release building as Lukas begins to work my c**t. As I arch my back pushing farther against Lukas I start shaking at another release while Cole grunts before groaning as he begins to release his seed inside my mouth. Again I lick him clean before pulling away. 

"Are you ready princess?" Cole questions as I lay back against Lukas. "Yes, sir" I say biting my lip. Lukas lifts me up placing me on his lap. He begins to kiss and suck my neck causing a moan to escape my lips at the same time he lowers my down onto him and his d**k enters me. The angle has him immediately hitting my spot as I shiver. Cole then gets on top of me, kissing my lips before kissing down my neck and adding his d**k into my same hole. I feel so stretched that tears come to the corners of my eyes. "Are you ok little one?" Lukas ask gently while Cole wipes away a tear. "Yes, Alpha, just give me a moment to adjust" The both patiently wait until I nod letting them know they can continue. The alternate their rhythm and I am quickly found in a state of euphoria at the complete feeling I have as I make love to both my mates. I start to shudder nearly screaming as I build up to the edge of my release. At that moment, I feel both pair of canines graze each side where their mark should go. Quickly they both sick their canines and I am hit with intense pain followed by earth shattering pleasure. I ride my high out as both mates find their release within me at the same time. We all feel an intense wave of energy as our bonds connect with one another. They retract their teeth and begin licking their marks sealing them. I feel as though I have a permanent smile on my face as I am shifted to where I am laying between the two of them, both with their arms over me and close to my body as I begin to drift off to sleep I whisper "I love you" and fall into the best sleep ever.
