Jayden's POV
“Alpha Jayden? Perchance, do you intend to swim these waters?” quipped Gregor ever so slightly as though afraid to offend me. I looked at him as though he were mad but when I felt the cold biting my thighs I realised what he meant by the question. I had gone in so deep and lost in thoughts. But Diane had swam these waters? Was it possible that she had managed to survive? We had to find her before anything happened to her.
“Why? You don't think I can?” I asked with biting sarcasm.
Gregor did not respond to this. He turned the other way and began to talk to a man on his boat. I watched as his vessel and several others sailed out into the cold night.
I could not stand there and do nothing, so I hopped up on the only boat that was yet to leave port.
