Bridget's POV
I stood there stupidly watching them joke and laugh as though they had not been at each other's throats only a few seconds ago. Jayden knew the reason I remained in the room but he ignored me, refusing to say anything to me.
“Bridget?” quipped Paul, giving me my cue to leave them alone but I stood there stubbornly. I needed Jayden to take back what he had said about my employment. Those two women had to leave or the Alpha had to give me something to at least save face. And how could Jayden be comfortable with sending me away as though I meant nothing? Just hours ago, we had survived a gun attack together.
