EMILY'S POV
After breakfast I headed for Alexa's room, worried that she hadn't come down for breakfast. I gave a few knocks on the door, and she opened eventually.
"Emily." She called, looking surprised. "You didn't go to school today."
"Luckily for me, it's a free day. I don't have any lectures today."
"Great, then!" She grinned. "Today is the start of weekend. We could go for karaoke tonight. It's been a while we did that."
"Sound good." I agreed, making my way in. She closed the door behind me. "I've missed you. Haven't been able to spend any quality time with you of late."
"I know right?" She sighed, hugging me from behind. A small smile appeared on my face. "I do have a lot I would have loved for us to discuss too."
