"He lied to her?!" I asked in disbelief.
"He did." He nodded. "But that wasn't all. He promised to marry her and send her back to college, if she agreed to be his woman. Of course, Mia agreed! I mean, who wouldn't?" He shrugged. "Weeks turned into months, and Mia returned home in tears one day, only to inform I and our parents that she was pregnant."
"Oh God." I whispered.
"When she told us who the father was, and how they had started dating after the incident, we were less worried."
"I mean, he had promised to marry her, so we thought he was going to keep to his word now. Father asked Mia to inform him about the pregnancy, and from there, it became a whole new story entirely."
