Chapter 11

Jessica point of view:

I went to my room felling like a teenager , well what has gotten into me . I feel like a stupid teenager who talked to her high school crush that much close. Well if i have to be honest , yes i did have an crush on him which I doubt still I have. I mean who won't have a crush . Anyways let's not talk about how he is look like because its not the time right my family? Atleast answer me guys okay okay . Let's go back to reality.

I looked around the room found a closet with new clothes.

Hold on this is isn't my clothes and bags what is going on ?

I scrunched my eyebrows and thought who did this?

Must be Daniel . I should talk about this to him

I shook my head and went to the bathroom for freshen up.

I took a long warm shower drowned in my own thoughts.

"Hopefully mom will be okay from tomorrow ."

I should tell Daniel about meeting Charlie . I bet he would get pissed . What's the matter with both of them? I really should ask them.

After shower I went to the closet.

I picked a checked red black shirt with a denim jeans.

I tied my hair into bun and went to downstairs.

Gosh how many stairs. My poor legs.

Why is no one here? And why is the house is soo silent? Something is wrong...

As my intuition was right as always suddenly a sound came from my behind . I quickly turned behind.

What I saw was quite shocking . A man holding a sword ran towards me . I was dum struck for a second. He suddenly came to my side with sword. I took no time to waste. I quickly duck behind him. With the force he came he hit the vase that was behind me when I was standing there. He quickly turned around me . That's when I saw he is wearing a mask. I can only see his eyes. He quickly throw a dagger towards me . I quickly caught the grip of it with my right hand.

He took steps towards this time. But i am prepared this time. He quickly aimed the sword toward me . I blocked the sword with my Dagger ⚔️. I started to attack the sword with the Dagger . I am taking steps toward him while he is taking steps behind. Suddenly he tried to knock out the Dagger from my hand. But i quickly dodged it . I ducked behind him with my left hand I pushed the sword from his. He stumbled on my action. This time I took his right hand and spin his around. I quickly placed the dagger on his neck .

Remove your mask master will you?

I asked the person who is my master who teaches martial arts and sword fight which I learned from him few years back.

He removed his mask as always the Great Jess is right .

I removed the dagger from his neck. I quickly bowed to him.

Hello master. I said to him. While he englufed me in a hug. I hugged him back. He is 45 years old . People don't believe when he say he is 45 because he looks like 25. Which is true. He maintains his physique so perfectly. Which i learned from him.

How are you my child? He asked me

I am good how have you been ?

You know the same he said while winking at me . I smiled at him.

Please come and how come you are here? I asked him.

Well the friend of yours contacted me and said the shot and Charlie came into your house so I thought I will pay visit and test how is your skill since you may need them. He replied.

When He said I turned around him with a grateful smile.

Thanks master for testing me . I surely did miss some but overtime I will soon get a grip of it.

Hello Master a deep accent came through the hall .

I turned around to see Daniel standing on the stair case wearing a t-shirt and a jeans. His hair is ruffled due to shower.

His muscles can be seen clearly. Such a well build good physique.

I smiled at him and went upto him.

I took his arm to guide him. He was confused by my action.

What?

Umm may I know why are you guiding me? He asked me

Well practically you just came out of the hospital and you are injured.

Of course I know, I am injured but my leg is completely fine if you didn't know just in case if you are wondering that I can't walk. So please I can walk by myself.

Unbelievable Dan . I rolled my eyes at him and took my hand out.

He chuckled at my reaction. I stop and shoot a glare at him. He surrender by raising his right hand on hair.

I shook my head and went up to master.

You two kids are perfect for each other..... Master said

I was froze for a second. Blush is creeping into my face. I tried putting serious face but failed miserably.

I shyly smiled at him..

So Master why don't you join for Dinner? I asked him hoping it would clear the awkwardness.

I am sorry dear , I can't now . Rose is waiting for me ,I have to go . I am sorry.

Well Rose is his wife a another mother to me . Master is like a fatherly figure to me . He supported me when Max died. He made me even stronger. I do consider him as my father.

I understand master. I don't want Rose to scold me you know.

I know anyway it's getting late . I should get going . And Jess you are perfect if you ever need anything just call me and let me know . As always I am here. He said.

I know master. I will thanks for coming again . A un shed tears on my eyes.

I smiled at him he bid his bye to Dan and went.

Now it's just me and Daniel.

I turned around to see him. He is smiling. I smiled at him .

Sooo I will go and prepare Dinner. I said and went to the Kitchen to Make dinner.

After 1 hour.

Dinner is ready I shouted while placing the dishes on table.

I just made some Cheese garlic bread sticks, lasaniya, and a chocolate mousse.

An ex bakery owners touch.

Soon Bryce , Anna and Daniel came.

Oh my god! Jess you really should not do all of this Anna said to me

Oh! Come on Anna its the least I could do when Your brother got shot for me and You and him making me staying at your place.

Oh no its yours too , you are our family too Jess. Anna said to me while engulfing me in a sister way hug.

I whole heartedly accept it and kissed her forehead in a elder sister way

Aww sister love Bryce said

Don't i get a hug he asked to us in puppy eyes.

Well Nope . I am not gonna hug you Anna said to Bryce.

That made Bryce pout. Seeing him pout made me feel sad.

Aww okay come here. I said while side hugging him. He kissed my forehead in a brotherly way. At the moment i smiled. I looked at him.

Enough of this let's eat shall we? I gestured the table.

He eagerly nod his head .

Yummy yummy food. He said while hurrying back to table. I Chuckled at his response.

I turned to see Dan standing in the hallway looking at me in intense eyes.

I quickly tucked my hair behind my ear.

Shall we ? I asked him . He just nodded his head

We went to the table. Anna said beside Dan while I seated On the right side of Dan on my Left side Bryce sat.

I served for all of them. Suddenly Dan hold my head. I looked upto him confused. He signalled me to sit . I nodded my head and sat . We all started to eat.

Hmmm so yummy Jesss Bryce said it first. I smiled

It's amazing actually. Anna said

Well thank you both of you . I said to them . Hoping Dan would appreciate.

But guess what that Jerk didn't even utter a word.

Just wow i spend an hour to make this food and he didn't even said anything. Useless fellow. Who care if he appreciates or not . I am gonna enjoy my food . I mentally rolled my eyes and started to dig in .

You forget to mention about Charlie meeting. My subconscious reminded me.

Oh shoot, I did forget about that. I took a deep breath mentally preparing myself about what I am gonna Do or rather i say tell next.

Don't you think you are being over dramatic My subconscious asked me.

Oh shut up . I took a deep breath and cleared my throat.

Umm ... Well Daniel . I called him. This got his attention.

He looked up to me. His eyes once again boring into mine.

Oh god how many times do i need to get lost in those eyes.

Not the correct time subconscious.

Well, I met Charlie this morning.

When I said this I felt his body got stiffened Not only his Bryce as well. .

I looked back between them

What did he say? Bryce asked me.

Well he was the one who bought my Bakery. Unfortunately me neither him doesn't know that . We only got to know when we were going to sign the documents . Anyways he also came to the hospital to see you the other day .

And? He asked me

I turned around to shoot a glare at Bryce for not telling him about Charlie. He quickly mouthed sorry.

Yeah so he said he never intended to do that also he said that me and you are still in danger.

I know that . He said gritting his teeth.

And he wants to meet you. I quickly said. Expecting him to be angry but what he said next is surprised me.

Hmm fine that can be arranged. I will meet him tomorrow.

We. I corrected him.

You are kidding me right? asking me . I can clearly see he is trying to control his anger.

No , I am not . I need to know what is going on ? So please. And don't worry he won't do anything to me. Bryce you are also required for the meeting. Understand?

He nodded his head. I saw Daniel and gave him a reassuring smile that every thing will be okay. But deep down I know this is something that is going to change my life forever. Which I need to accept it.

We all ate and Anna also talked about that she is moving to California for her studies.

Mr - so called protective brothers Which is Dan and Bryce didn't agree but guess what . I am there buddy . You can't stop a girl for chasing her dreams . You never should. After a long conversation they finally agreed. (Note the sarcasm)

We didn't have conversation it was a complete argument.

Finally Bryce left to his house and Anna went to her room and here I am standing in the balcony

Drowned in my thoughts. Suddenly I felt a presence behind me.

I turn around to see him standing.

What are you doing here ? You should get some sleep. I said to him.

He took a step toward me .

I can't even breath. I was holding my breath.

I didn't feel like sleeping. Can I join? He asked me

Of course you can after all it's your house. Please do. I stepped beside him to give him some space.

He sat on the couch and pat the place that beside to him. I smiled at him. And went there sat beside him.

The view is great i told him

He nodded his head.

We sat there for what it feels like age. Lost in each other worlds. Neither any one of us didn't talked to each other.

Jess he called out to me. I turned to see him

Go and sleep .We should go to hospital tomorrow . He said. I nodded and got up .

Good night Dan . I said to him and exit.

****** **** **** ****** ****** ****** ***************

Suddenly I heard a scream.

Oh god who is screaming at this time. I woke up groggily and rubbed my eyes.

Again I heard a sound .

NOOO YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME.

At this time I only came my senses that Daniel is the one who is shouting now.

I quickly got up and went to his room .

I was standing in the hallway debating myself whether I should go in or not.

But before that I heard another scream.

That's it I am going inside.

I opened the door

The Room was spacious . I tried to look around for him.

He was there on bed trying to something. I turn on the lights .

He was still shouting.

No please please don't leave me. I can not live without you .

What happened to Daniel find out in the next chapter.?
