My anger knew no bounds when I read that message.
We’re under attack from the Liam family.
Just that one sentence was enough to drive out all the stupid fantasies I had been entertaining. This was the reality of my life—of my world—and it seemed that just because it had been quiet for a bit, I believed it would continue that way.
That was naïve of me.
But before anything else, I knew I had to get Aria out of here. I couldn’t be responsible for her getting hurt.
I ignored her words as I walked over to my closet, already dialing Angelo’s number. He was the only one who could take her out, because he also shouldn’t be here anyway.
“I heard about the attack,” he said sharply the moment he picked up.
