I didn’t know how or when I fell asleep, but the loud ringing of my phone was what woke me up. With my eyes still shut, I rolled over, reaching for the phone on the side stool, and only after I grabbed it did I force my eyes open.
I groaned loudly when I saw Jean’s name on the screen, but I picked it up and placed it to my ear anyway.
“Don’t tell me you’re still in bed,” Aria came his voice, and I yawned, rolling over again.
“What does that have to do with anything?” I voiced out, shocking myself with how raspy my voice was.
“We have work in a few hours, Aria!” he yelled, and that was enough to pull me up.
“What??” I yelled back, sitting up sharply. “Don’t tell me I slept throughout the day without even eating last night!”
