I sat quietly till we finally pulled up in front of my house. “We’re here,” Angelo called softly. I stared at him, every cell in my body dying to ask what the hell that was back there, but I felt I could just wait and hear it from Knight himself. It was better that way, right? “How did you know where to drop me off?” I asked instead. He cracked a little smile. “Knight told me before you stepped out,” he said. I nodded, pretending that was all I was curious about. I unbuckled my seatbelt and picked up my bag. “Thanks for the ride,” I muttered. He nodded. “You don’t have to worry about him,” he said suddenly. I frowned. “I’m not worried.” He chuckled lowly. “Yeah, sure you’re not.
