And So It Began

Karen POV I woke up back in the dungeons lying on the floor. I had no idea how long I had been out but I can’t believe what I had seen. I touched my neck and pain shot through my entire body. Werewolves…there are actually werewolves. Just then the door to the dungeons opened. I heard him walk to my cell. He flung it open his eyes burning with anger. “Against the wall” He demanded I heard him take off his belt and I felt weak knowing what was about to happen before I could reconcile my fate the belt struck my back. I screamed out in pain but I was met with a hollow laugh. “Stupid human,” he said the calmness in his voice made him sound sadistic “it only takes one lash for you to scream” He whipped me again and again and again. Until I could feel the blood running down my back and legs. The pain was crippling and I was about to pass out when he stopped “clean yourself up sl*t” He said as he threw a rag at me, and walked away. I dipped the rag in the water and tried to wipe the blood off but the pain was too much and it was impossible to reach. I cleaned myself up to the best of my abilities and lay on my stomach with my face in the dirty mattress. I cried myself to sleep even though I had a feeling it was barely the afternoon. I don’t know how long I was asleep but I woke up to the sound of footsteps and fear shook my whole body. I was put at ease when I saw it was the brown-haired guy from the forest. He hadn’t done anything to hurt me and I didn’t think he would. He unlocked my cell and put a plate down in front of me with a glass of water He gave me a sad smile “eat” he said and walked out It wasn’t a meal but I gladly bread and drank the water
