Beta Jasen POV
I was not surprised when he wanted me to take her back given what happened to his brother last month, he has gone cold and hatred for humans has taken over him. I felt sorry for the girl she had no idea the hell she was about to face. He is aware that inflicting harm or servitude to humans is against werewolf law and he could be killed if anyone found out, but he doesn’t seem to care. I put her over my shoulder and carried her to the packhouse. He was only with her for a short time before he called me back. He had already sent down a mattress and blanket to the dungeon. I went to pick her up when she stopped me
“I can walk,” she said
She silently followed me down. I noticed she was looking around; I am sure it was so she could get some idea of her surroundings. I opened the door to the dungeons and she didn’t even flinch at the smell and I was surprised that she didn’t even put up a fight she just walked in and sat down. I walked away taking one glance back but she showed no emotion. I walked up the stairs and closed the door.
Karen POV
I sat there for hours and eventually I had no tears left to cry, so I splashed some of the water on my face and sat back down. I heard people upstairs and then I heard the door open. I hoped that my face was not as red and my eyes were not as puffy. I could tell before he even reached the cell door that it was the Alpha who was coming to get me. He opened the cell and walked in dragging me up the stairs he threw me down my back hitting the tree behind me.
He gave me a malicious smile and his eyes turned black “I am going to show you just whose land you trespassed on" He started taking his clothes off and I looked away not wanting to associate him with anything other than cruelty. He noticed me look away.
“Look at me you piece of trash” He yelled
I looked back at him not taking my eyes off his face. Before I could even blink, there was a massive black wolf staring at me. I was terrified by I did everything I could to control my reaction. He was trying to scare me and I wasn’t going to give in that easily
He walked up to me like a lion hunting its prey. He growled saliva dripping from his teeth. He lunged at me snapping his jaws right before my face. I tried to keep my composure but I couldn’t hide my fear this time.
