"You should know better than to offend the wrong person" Priscilla clicked her tongue and left gracefully, swaying her hips. Before long, they were ready to start. Celine had been practicing the script for almost a month after she met her agent so he was pretty much certain she could act her character perfectly.
The script story was about a girl who was betrayed by her best friend which had eventually led to her death. In the script, her best friend had been trying to kill her but she never noticed till the friend got tired of her round about ways and decided to just drown her and use her money and connections to clean up the mess.
And all this was because she hated the lead character because she seemed to be lucky and successful always and also because she wanted her fiancee, a handsome rich guy who also connived with her in secret to kill his fiance in order to officially be with her best friend without public opposition. Priscilla was acting as the best friend and Celine was the one betrayed. They had acted a few parts and it was finally time for the final scene that day.
This scene was when Priscilla as Lana in the script tried to drown her best friend, Olivia for the first without succeeding because she was luckily saved in time by a guard.
During the break they were having before that scene, several people had walked up to her since they could be making friends with a future unparalleled actress as they saw the potential in her. Her demeanor and skills during acting was flawless. "Hey am Samantha. You can call me Sam" A beautiful auburn coloured hair actress smiled brightly at her and winked.
It was obvious she was an free, easy going person. She wore a luxury shiny dress which was just above her knees and her eyes sparkled. It was Samantha Harvey. A beautiful top actress and ofcourse all the people here were the best all rich, talented and popular with millions of fans around the world so Celine could help but smile a little nervously when she saw who she might have never had the chance to meet in real life for her whole life if she had not gotten this opportunity. "Hi I am Celine Anderson" She introduced herself with a smile. Her voice was calm without any fluctuations and her face was composed.
Sam couldn't help but be impressed at her composure as if it was some people they would be falling over and fidgeting by now. "I can see you're new" "Not really new to the acting stuff" She replied feeling less tensed with Sam. Eventually they began talking about other things like they knew each other before.
"Alright Everyone. Action" The director shouted and Olivia was standing by a beautiful calm lake chatting with her supposedly best friend. They talked and laughed and the unknowing Olivia was looking beautiful, mild and innocent. Her eyes were clear and bright and her whole aura seemed to be confidence in her friend and innocence.
Lana said something to her and she laughed lightly, her smile evoking pity and sympathy from the audience and a tear almost fell from the directors' eyes because she didn't know what was coming next. "Cut!" They immediately resumed their normal demeanor. The director quickly hid his satisfied expression making Celine nervous that she had not acted well but the next second, "Now that was perfect. Miss Anderson. From the gullible and innocent look to the smile. That was good" He smiled at her.
Everyone cheered as it wasn't easy to get such an approval and praise from the directors. Of course there were people who weren't happy with this including Priscilla who was formerly looking smug expecting to be flattered as usual but after hearing what he said, she was currently biting her lips with anger. "And you Miss Johnson you have to be more real, like you have an ulterior motive in mind. The expression should be more visible and natural. So we have to re-do the scene because of your part"
She bit her lips more till they were almost bleeding but maintained a straight face. Once again they were ready, "Action!" Priscilla steadied her emotions and continued. It was supposed to be a gentle subtle push but Lana directly pushed Olivia into the lake with such intensity that she sank rapidly due to the pressure. She could swim but she wasn't exactly an expert on it and Lana had pushed her deep making her struggle to swim upwards and the heels she wore didn't seem to be helping.
By the time she had been helped out, she had almost lost her breathing and had drunk few mouthful of water. She choked and breathed raggedly. Priscilla leaned closer to her and whispered "That was just the tip of an ice berg" and walked off. No one could really confront Priscilla on why she had behaved contrary to the script so in the end everyone left as the filming for the day was done and her new friend Sam saw her off.
Celine tried her best to sleep well in preparation for the next day. The next day, they had only filmed for half an hour before it was said that a higly esteemed guest was arriving soon.
An hour later, some people appeared. An exquisite, neatly dressed, handsome man came in with a group of people behind him. It seemed like they were there for some sort of inspection or so. Suprisingly it was the same man Celine had met in the restaurant months ago. His eyes flashed when he saw her and something clicked his mind.
Later, when she was done with her part, a young man with glasses on walked to her and told her his boss wanted to see her. She was at first wary but after some thought, decided to follow him. She was shown into a quiet spacious room where she saw a handsome cold profile with exquisitely carved face and body sitting leisurely at a table with a cup of tea in hand. He montioned for her to seat opposite him as he blew lightly at the tea before taking a sip and setting it down.
"This isn't a mistake meeting, I guess"
"I have a proposal for you" He said opening his lips slightly and straight to the point. "I want you to be my wife"
Celine was at first dumb struck before regaining her voice "You don't mean it do you? You just appear out of thin air and ask a woman you don't know to be your wife? and it not like I even have feelings for you" She said dumbfounded before getting furious. "Now calm down. This is more like a contract marriage. You get 700 million a month and it's like we are actually married but we get divorced after two years. The marriage will also be publicly announced. Other details are on this document and the contract will be in effect immediately you sign it. A lawyer entered and handed a sheet of paper to him which he passed to her in addition to his business card. She felt numb "I will... I will think about it" "Please do and sign it when you make up your mind. Thank you for your time" He stood up and left with long clean strides, each step exuding dominance and majesty.
Celine stared numbly at the documents in her hand. She was about to become a married woman. She didn't know if accepting this was a right decision as she had nothing to lose but she couldn't help but wonder why this man chose such a marriage when he had nothing to gain from her. She reminded herself for the second time to search his Identity. Luckily, she had his business card.
