We danced and danced until my legs gave up and we decided to move away from the dance floor. Enzo led me back to the bar, Asher stood there busy in his mobile phone. As we approached him, he slipped his phone inside his pocket before turning to look at us.
"Well, I gotta go. An urgent thing came up." Asher said loudly over the blasting music, both of them had a conversation through their eyes before Asher nodded and left the place.
"He seemed pretty stiff? Is everything alright?" I asked Enzo as he ordered some chilled water.
"Yeah. Everything is alright. He needed to do some work from school." He shrugged and I nodded.
"Here." Enzo handed me the glass of chilled water. I looked at him confused but nonetheless drank, and realized how thirsty I really was.
"Thanks." I smiled placing the glass on the bar and looked at anywhere when I found Enzo gazing at me with so much intensity that it was hard to look at him. I blushed beside him, even the slightest of his touches ignited a fire inside of my stomach. What was happening to me? Was it the drinks that I felt this way? Or was there something in the air? I couldn't understand.
It was getting more chaotic inside the club and there was barely any place to stand, as we stood near the bar, some guys came and stood just beside me. I looked at them briefly before turning my gaze away when I found them smiling creepily at me. Ew.
Enzo just kept drinking from his glass and that is when I realized Enzo was supposed to drive us back. He shouldn't be drinking. Asher already left and we were alone.
"You shouldn't drink this much you know?" I said tipping my head to the glass. He stared at me before nodding and putting it back.
"Here you go. Is this alright?" I nodded at him with a smile and Enzo grabbed my wrist.
"Come on, let's leave. We'll continue drinking at my place." He said making his way out with me right behind him.
I frowned at him. "What do you mean?" I asked as we finally breathed in the fresh air of the night. It was so peaceful outside. So much better than inside and now I found myself feeling a little better as well. But I was still high I could sense it.
"My place is near and you can't go back to your house without Valenie so it's either we stay inside the club of move to my place. The choice is yours." He shrugged as I pulled my coat closer to my body. It was getting chilly and going to his place was a good option than going inside.
"Okay, but can you drive?" I asked not trying to sound rude.
Enzo just gave me 'a look' and I didn't speak another word as he opened the door to his car for me. I slipped inside and he fastened my seat belt. God, he was so close to me. His breath was fanning down my neck and just as I was about to enjoy his closeness he moved away and shut the car door. I sat there stunned when he settled inside his seat and the engine roared to life. I had never been to their condo before. The boys shared it and I heard it was somewhat a lavish one. Guess I am going to have a look today.
The ride to his condo, true was very short and the building looked fancy with expensive architecture. Damn man. Who paid the rent? They must be loaded a lot. Like a lot. Though they had fancy cars but having a condo on this side of the town was something extraordinary.
Parking his car in the underground private parking lot, he got off before opening my side of the door. Chivalry was not dead yet wow. He was a true gentleman I must say. We both made our way up to his floor in the private elevator as I looked down at my nails.
As we reached, I was stunned to see everything. God, the place was lit as hell. The modern architecture and the expensive furniture were something I loved so much but was never able to afford and looking at the place I felt like moving here.
"Do you want something to drink?" Enzo asked as he walked to what seemed like an open kitchen with every kind of machine a kitchen needs. Damn, their condo looked more clean than ours and so so so much big not to forget.
"Umm no thanks." I politely declined, I needed to get home sober. And I was already drunk. God. But I felt alive, I felt like this moment mattered and not to forget Enzo Wright kissed me.
"Okay, you can take a seat in the living room." He pointed to the huge place near the fire place. The couches looked huge and so comfy, I nodded before making my way there and settling down.
But he didn't kiss me again or talked about it, was I disappointment? I wonder if I wasn't good? I had kissed before but not someone like Enzo. Silly me thought he'd be interested. It was just in the heat of the moment. What was I to him again? A nobody. I was just his best friend's girlfriend's best friend. Nothing else. I was just an annoying thing he agreed to look after when both Valenie and Ale left. And instantly my mood soured.
Enzo came back and sat beside me on the couch even though there was so much place here, yet he chose to sit beside me.
"It's strange we never talk at school." Enzo said quietly and I agreed with him.
"Yeah." I shrugged.
"Did you mean it when you said my eyes do things to you?" Out of nowhere Enzo's question made me flush in embarrassment. God. Did he really need to bring it up?
I cleared my throat but didn't look up at him. I nodded slightly but it seemed he was looking at me quiet keenly that he caught up to it.
"Yeah? What things?" Okay what? Really? Did I need to tell what things? Like you are a guy you should understand. Was he genuinely not aware or he was playing with me?
This was embarrassing.
