It was already 25minutes past 5PM when they arrived at Lhan's flat. "Your house is quite confined but it is clean. Who do you live with?" Dunce took off his coat and hang it near the door feeling at home. He looked around checking for any male belongings. "A friend." Lhan answered. She grabbed the plastic bag with raw meat, fish, fruits and veggies headed directly to the kitchen sink. "Boy or girl?" Dunce followed her and sat comfortably at the dining table seat. "A girl of course!" Lhan said without looking at him just focusing on washing the veggies and meat. "Good. I hate girls who cohabit with guys." Dunce felt blithe at her response. He leaned and crossed his arms, watching Lhan's every move heartily. "Who asked you what you hate?" Lhan turned to him. She felt a little pissed at his self-opinionated comment. "Anyway, you can sit in the living room and watch tv programs or you can use my computer at the corner if you want to play while I prepare dinner." She tried dismissing him as she felt uncomfortable with his questions and also, she wasn't accustomed of being watched while working. Gladly he complied. Unbeknownst to Lhan, Dunce obeyed to open her computer with intention of delving into her personal life. Instantly, he noticed that Lhan's computer was top notch. All furniture and other things were simple and cheap, only her computer seemed expensive. "Hmm! Your computer is one of the high ends." Dunce was sitting in front of computer flat screen monitor. Then he switched it on. Right at the screen popped a Microsoft words with un finished composed novel. "Is this your work?" He raised his voice so Lhan could hear him. "Hmmm. It's actually just a hobby but a friend in university told me that I can get paid if I submit my stories." She replied while cutting the vegies and other ingredients. "Where can they read your works?" He asked while he continued to scan and read some of her works. "Do you read romance novel?" Lhan answered without removing her focus at the dish she was preparing. "I'm a wide reader." "Ahmm, you need to download an app. But only 1-20 or so chapters are free to read. The proceeding chapters needed to be unlocked with digital coins or points. If you want to read, my finished works are at the RoNo Folders on the desktop." Approximately, about 45 minutes had passed when Dunce stood up and went back to the dining table as he smelled the aroma of cooked food. He didn't see anything unusual or would give him a hint that she was in a relationship. Even her messenger, social media and emails that were automatically logged in showed nothing of that sort. There were several friend requests from boys but she ignored them, which was of course for him was a sign of woman with good character. "You must have experienced a lot of relationships for you to come up with those stories? Did it happen to you personally? Are you a love expert? Do every relationship of yours give inspiration to your stories?" He exclaimed while walking closer to the dining table trying to engaged her more in a conversation. Lhan grabbed plates, spoon and forks as she answered, "It is not my personal experience." "Really? Then how can you describe each story so realistically and creatively?" Dunce asked with the intention to pry on her as he found none in her computer. "Some were inspired by a friend's love story. Others were just random thoughts, out of imagination." She answered uninhibited while setting the table. "You have lots of friends then. How about boyfriend?" Dunce sat, put his left hand on the table to propped his chin. He followed every Lhan's movement as she prepares the tables. Lhan sat and looked at him, paused a bit before she answered, "I don't have one. I never had." Dunce scooped rice and meat dish to his plate. He smiled at Lhan's answer. "Hmmm. Great!" It was just a murmur so Lhan didn't hear him. He spooned a heap full of rice with meat on top and ate it. "The food taste delicious. Why don't you cook for me regularly? Once your debt is paid, I can hire you as my personal cook." "No thanks. And how many times would I tell you I will have enough cash in time. I can pay you in three months." Lhan was unconcerned as she answered. "Do you think I'm short of money?" "Then why do you asked me to buy you shirts?" She probed. For her, Ardunce' solution was unfathomable. "That shirt has a sentimental value. So, the way it should be paid must have sentimental value as well." It was a lie, but for Dunce who cares as along as he could get chances of meeting her. Lhan looked at him trying to measure the sincerity of his words but she never questioned him. SHe just kept to herself the thinking, 'what sentimental value can he gain with this set up. Aren't we just tiring ourselves?' She just focused on eating her food quietly. Soon they finished their meal and Lhan started to clear the table. "I'll wash the dishes you can take a rest." Dunce got to his feet and grabbed the plates. Lhan knitted her forehead upon hearing his words. She jolted and looked at Dunce. "Aren't you going home? It is already almost seven." "Don't mind me." Dunce replied feeling at home. "I do mind. This is our flat and it doesn't feel right to have you roaming around while I take a rest. We are not even friends. How can you casually say that?" Still could not believed what she just heard. 'He is not in his right mind is he?' "You're right. This is the first time I visited your place." "Yeah! So please go home so I can take a rest. I'll take care of the dishes." Lhan pushed him thru the doorway. She grabbed his coat and shove it to him before he set his foot out. "Fine, fine! You don't have to push me. What time will you come to the bar?" "Around 10pm. Why?" "See you then." He turned his back and waved his hand holding the coat as a sign of his goodbye. "Huh?!" The closing of the door answered Lhan's huh. Lhan cleaned the table and washed the dishes. She went to her room to take a nap after setting her phone alarm at 9:45pm. Out of tiredness both physically and mentally because of Dunce sudden appearance, she succumbed to sleep minutes later.
