We arrived at the club at exactly 9:30pm. I parked the car and looked around, there were a few cars here and there and the building had a sign board attached that said 'T and K club'. But other than that, there was no queue or anyone around.
"are you sure this place is opened?" I asked Alice getting out of the car.
I headed to the door and pushed but it wouldn't budge.
"Oh great! It's closed." I grumbled.
Alice rolled her eyes at me and pushed the door button, there was a buzz and suddenly a hefty looking guard opened the door, he looked us up and down, assessing us, before checking our ID, he then let us in.
The two of us walked into a corridor an there was a door probably leading to the club with two guards standing side by side. One of the guards smiled at us and opened the door welcoming us in.
I walked in with Alice on my side and stood there taking in the place.
We were welcomed with loud music and bright purple and green lights, the room is huge and wide and people are dancing on the dance floor with some sitting at tables placed at the sides and the bar is just across from us and the DJ by the side playing the music.
Alice pulled me to through the throng of dancers to the bar, we sat on some empty bar stools and Alice ordered for our drinks.
The bartender made our drinks and placed them on the table and I paid, the drinks were surely expensive, I took a sip of mine when a man came and stood between the two of us.
"Hey beautiful ladies, I saw you come in and couldn't resist coming to meet."
I turned to look at the the guy who had a charming smile standing over us, he was tall and handsome dressed in jeans, and a black T-shirt underneath a bomber jacket.
I got a good look at him as all his attention was on Alice.
I cleared my throat loudly when I realised he wasn't going to introduce himself, or stop staring at Alice as she was also checking him out.
"Oh! Forgive me for being so rude, my name is Daniel." he introduced himself.
"I'm Alice and this is my friend Rose." Alice introduced ourselves to him.
"Nice to meet you" I said.
"Likewise, dance with me?" he asked turning to Alice.
"Sure." Alice said with a smile.
"Join us" Alice says and they both look at me expectantly.
"No you guys go ahead, I will join you after I finish my drink."
Alice seemed satisfied with my answer so she hands me her unfinished drink and followed Daniel to the dance floor.
"Did it hurt when you fell?"
"What?" I turned to the guy who just asked me that.
"When you fell from..."
"no, I meant what? did you sleep for a hundred years and just woke up today? That line is so old, go work on your pick up lines or something."
The guy frowned and walked away mumbling to himself and I rolled my eyes at his back.
A couple other drunk guys came later but none seemed worthy of my time so I turned down their offer.
About fifteen minutes later, Alice came back with Daniel behind her.
"Why are you guys back, you should go and enjoy yourselves." I said as soon as she was of hearing reach.
"No Rose we came here so we could have fun together, but you have been sitting here all by your self, you would neither drink nor dance."
I sighed as Alice finished ranting.
"I just don't feel like getting drunk and none of the guys here seem to intrigue me and I'm tired of sitting on these barstools." I complained standing up.
"Okay then, if you feel so uncomfortable maybe we should just go home." she said looking concerned.
"No don't cut your fun short for my sake."
"Well if you are not having any fun then me neither." Alice says sitting on the empty barstool beside me.
"You know what, I have a solution to this,"
Daniel cuts off.
"why don't we all go sit at the tables with my friend over there," he pointed to the tables.
" we can chat and have some more drinks." he suggested.
"Sounds fine by me." I say and Alice and I follow Daniel to his friend's table.
"Alice, Rose this is my friend Zack."
Daniel says sitting down beside his friend while Alice and I sit across from them.
"Hi." I greeted.
The guy Daniel called Zack looked up and our eyes met.
I have never seen such beautiful set of eyes, they seemed dark but on closer look they were blue, fanned by long, dark eyelashes I felt jealous of. Zack had thick dark brows on his chiselled face, his nose so perfect like he chose it himself, and his lips! I got caught up staring at him when I felt a nudge by my side.
I shake out of my trance turning to Alice who had a smirk on, I realised that I had been too busy staring at the handsome guy that I didn't notice the waiter taking orders.
I quickly came back to my senses and ordered my drink and Alice and Daniel share a look.
"Zack why don't you dance with Rose, you have been sitting here all by yourself since we came here, you should have some fun."
Daniel said giving Zack some kind of look.
"Well, that doesn't sound like a bad idea," Zack smirked before turning to me. "do you mind dancing with me, Rose?" he asked with a raise of his brows as he stood up and extended his hand.
"Nope." I found myself saying as I put my hand in his and followed him to the dance floor while trying to ignore the shocking thrill I felt as my hand made contact with his.
"Wait." I said and suddenly stopped walking.
"What is it Rose?"
The way he said my name...
"I... Uh..." I bit my lower lip. "I haven't danced in a really long time." I told him, I didn't want to end up embarrassing myself in front of a dreamy guy like him, it's not too often that one is lucky to meet guys like him.
"Don't worry, it's just dancing." he replied in a husky voice.
He was standing so close to me, staring into his eyes and for the first time in six years, I wanted to be carefree, we started dancing and my body felt loose, I was dancing as if it was the old me and with Zack by my side, I realised I had been missing on a lot. We danced until I started to feel tired, Zack pulled me out of the dance floor.
"You look tired, I think we should go back to the table."
We went back to the table and found our seats.
"yoouuu guys danced for like fooouuur hours!" Alice said with a hiccup.
"No it was more like an hour," I started to say before realising she was drunk.
"You are drunk, how many drinks did you take"
"she didn't take much she is just a light weight."
Daniel says as he takes his own drink.
"No I think that's enough, Alice gets the worse hangovers ever." I say as I stop her from reaching for another drink.
"I think we should head home right now."
I say as Alice slumps on the table.
"Let me help" Daniel holds her up and I look at Zack who is staring at me
"I will go pay for the drinks." Zack says getting up.
"let me give you a ride"
Daniel offered, he really seems to like Alice.
"No we will be fine, I came with a car." i reply.

"I haven't had so much fun in a long time."
I say looking at Zack as we reach my car and Daniel puts Alice in her seat putting her seat belt on.
"Me too." he smiles at me.
I entered the car and drove, so glad I went out today.
