The first two weeks of the return journey back to Cairnstone were tr by and large extremely uneventful. General Anktar's scouts and warriors had pulled up stakes and abandoned the area in lieu of our increased numbers. One might say had bowed to digression being the better part of valor. Of the final twelve days we endured an especially dreadful combination of numerous thunderstorms and daylong downpours. It was with heartfelt joy when the towers of Cairnstone loomed out of the windswept rain that blanketed the area. The survivors of Donovan's expeditionary force plus the Ayuni arrived back at the Front Gates of Cairnstone.
