Chapter Forty-Three: Voyage Home

1470 Words

The Chand proved to be as good as their word, they had promised to depart in seven days and at dawn on the seventh day their fleet of over one thousand ships left Cairnstone bay. The day was bright and sunny, and the sunshine reflected brightly off the calm seas. To be honest Donovan had never seen such a magnificent fleet before. Despite such a massive display of force, they had managed to leave port in an orderly fashion, as ships of all sizes promptly left in a highly organized fashion. Prince Donovan stood on the deck of the Femlor, watching as the ships bow cut powerfully through the water. Little fish swam in large schools launching themselves into the air in front of the ship like so many glistening bits of winged silver, only to return to the waters to once again take to the air.
