Zapphire:
Tori's cousin was very annoying, he kept hitting on me the whole time we were in the pool. It ended up not being very relaxing for me or Tori for that matter. We ended up leaving after a few hours at the pool, not being able to take Trevor's crap anymore, he spent the whole time hitting on me. Nothing that I or Tori said would stop him. Once fully dry we had headed up to the entertainment room and started watching movies. We were watching some new love comedy, I think Tori was trying to get me to think about Matthew. Can't be for sure though, Tori asked me not to read her mind when it's not needed. I'm trying but it can prove to be difficult at times.
At this point it was probably half passed midnight. Tori had passed out and I was left alone to my thoughts again. Everyone keeps telling me that the Moon Goddess never makes mistakes, so should I really just let it all go and try again with Matthew? I didn't care that he was a human when I first met him, so why should I care if now if he's a vampire? Oh right, siren's and vampires are natural eneimes.
I remember it like it was just yesterday, when I was only five, I was hiding in the hallway, listening in on my parents, who were witches. They were talking about how a group of witch scientists, made a mistake. They were trying to make us immortal, and in the process, they created vampires. They described them as horrible blood thirsty beasts, that drink the blood of humans. They were now accepting volunteers to be turned into something else, something that still would allow us to be one with nature, but we'd feed on vampires, and eventually whip them off the face of the earth. Eventually, they named us sirens. We live for about 500 years, we're fast in water, we're stronger then humans, can read all minds, but only control supernaturals with or mind, and of course we're gorgeous. Our genes wouldn't allow us to be anything less, it tries to "perfect" everything.
My parents after a long talk, decided this is what we were meant to do. So we went through the change. We were one of the first to change, so they called us pure bloods, or orginals. I'm not royalty, but I'm treated somewhat like one. My family was the second to undergo the change, Drakes family was the first. They became the royals, and we our second in command. We kept our existence a secret from the rest of the world, besides a few trusted witch families, eventually though we were found out. No secret can last forever, I remember the King of all supernaturals, a dragon, tried to take control of our kingdom, Drake would not allow it. Of course, he wouldn't allow anyone to take his crown. So we contracted a deal, they left us alone, if we stopped trying to kill vampires, and whip them out. At this point, we had realized everything happens for a reason, the Moon Goddess was even giving them beloveds, and who were we to challenge the Moon Goddess? So for the most part, we didn't mingle with other species besides witches, but of course, we still drank from vampires, although now they had to be willing, and or donate their blood. It made me wonder what would happen if vampires were discovered by humans. They probably wouldn't be as willing to compromise as we were.
I sighed, Tori was cuddling into my side. I should probably bring her up to her room. I shook her a little bit. "Tori, come on wake up." She groaned. Once I finally got her up, we went into her room, changed into some shorts and sports bras and settled into her bed. I tried to settle my mind but still struggled thinking about Matthew. I missed him so much. What was I going to do about him? Yes, we signed a treaty, but that doesn't mean everyone is going to be understanding. Or even worse, what would Drake do this time? Could this start a war? I mean, I should be able to do whatever I want, but... I don't know. I'm scared.
I felt somebody shaking me, I tried pushing them away, but it didn't work, they just kept at it. I slowly opened up my eyes, and saw Tori. "Come on Tori, leave me alone. I said to her and rolled over. "Z, come on, it's like 10 o clock, and I'm now bored on my phone. Entertain me." I rolled my eyes, rolling back over to face Tori. "Take my phone, and call Meloooodddyyyy" I exaggerated her name and smirked at her. "Z!" She screamed and then grabbed a pillow hitting me in the head with it. I screamed back at her and started hitting her back with a pillow. We were laughing, enjoying our pillow fight, when eventually I smelled a mouth watering smell, weird smell, but still mouth watering. I felt my teeth extend, and I ran towards the smell, I pinned him against the wall, with my nails, digging them in. "Kinky, I like it, but I would prefer if my cousin wasn't here, wanna go back to my room?" My senses came back to me and I realized, I had Trevor pinned. I retracted my fangs, and stepping back. "I'm so sorry, I haven't ate in a bit. This normally doesn't happen." He winked at me then looked towards Tori. "I tried mind linking you but you wouldn't answer. You're not normally in your room this long, I got worried." Tori, still standing on the bed, from our pillow fight, ended up bouncing her butt on the bed to get off, then walked towards us. "Well if somebody wasn't sleeping in this long, I would've been up earlier, but...." Tori said, and I sighed. "I'm sorry, I don't know whats wrong with me. I probably need to feed, I should head home," I looked back at Trevor. "I am very sorry, I really normally don't do this. I'm old, I can contain myself, I'm sorry. Finding my vampire soulmate, has messed me up." I said, and Trevor looked at me with wide eyes. "Your soulmate is a vampire?" I nodded, and at the same time Tori started pushing him out the door. "Come on Trevor, leave us. We're going to leave to Z's home so we can get her some blood." I smirked and wiggled his brows at me, before completely being shut out then said through the door. "Why go home to get some blood, when you have a willing donor right here?" He said, while knocking on the door. Tori and I looked at each other and laughed. "No, thanks Trevor! I'd rather not." I said.
Tori ended up coming with me, she wanted to see if Melody really was her mate. I was driving back home, but I could see out of the corner of my eye she was looking in the mirror of my car, fixing her golden blonde hair, making sure she didn't have a hair out of place. I laughed at her. "Tori, you look beautiful. Melody is going to be drooling." Tori slammed the mirror shut. "I don't even know why I'm freaking out, she might not even be my mate. I'm probably working myself up over nothing." She said, looking down at her fingers, like they're the most interesting thing in the world. I pulled up to mine and Melody's little blue house. I could see Melody's car. I parked my car and then grabbed Tori's hand and rubbing soothing circles in her hands with my thumb. "Take a deep breath Tori, she might even be on a swim and not home yet." I said, trying to relax her. She took a deep breath and nodded. Then we headed into the house.
