The Siren's Vampire Soulmate

CHAPTER 6

Matthew: 

I stepped out of my car and started walking towards the office. Julie had mind linked me after school was over and let me know that Zapphire came back to school after I had gone hunting. When I walked in Julie was busy typing at her computer like usual. She looked up at me, and smile brightly at me when I stepped up to her. "Hello Mr. Blake." I smiled back at her. "Hey Julie, so I heard my beloved came in yesterday?" She rolled her eyes and started typing again. "Yes, and she was very rude sir, she threw a little hissy fit after I told her I was unable to move her class." I laughed. Of course she did, I thought. "Sir," Julie looked back up at me. "If you do not mind me asking. She's human, an immature human. Why are you even wasting your time. I mean... any women in the clan would love---" I raised my hand to cut her off. "Never speak about my beloved like that again Julie. I may not be the blood son of Izzy, but I am her son. I am Izzy's second in command, never the less. You will treat my beloved with the same respect as you do with me. Do you understand me Julie." I said, in a harsh tone. She nodded, apologized and went back to typing. I turned around and started heading towards my gym. Hopefully this hour goes by fast. 

Once gym was over I started rushing towards drama. Once I arrived I saw Zapphire sitting at the stairs we were at yesterday. It looked like she was going over the sheet that she was given yesterday. I walked up to her and sat down beside her when she didn't say anything. She sighed, and looked sideways at me. She had simple make up on again today, making her blue eyes pop, her lips were a beautiful shade of baby pink, she was also wearing black top, that crossed around her hips, high waisted pants, combat boots, and she had her beautiful wavy blue black hair up into a pony tail. She was not wearing enough clothes, she was gorgeous, but I didn't need anyone seeing what is mine. "Look Mattie, I'm sorry about what happened the other day, I didn't mean to hurt you or anything like that I just felt sick." I propped a brow up at her. I never let anyone call me Mattie, but coming out of her mouth it just felt right. I smiled at her and said "Mattie huh?" She blushed and looked down. "Oh! I'm sorry, I don't know why I called you that. I'm so sorry." I grabbed her hand and stroked it. Loving the way the sparks felt. "No, it's okay. I like it." She still wouldn't look at me but nodded. "Can you please stop doing that to my hand Matthew?" I let go of her hand slowly, I didn't want to make her uncomfortable, but I also didn't want to stop felling her smooth skin. "Why do you feel the sparks to?" I joked. She blushed even more. "Are you trying to tell me you feel sparks when you touch me Matthew? That's kinda creepy." She forced a laugh out. She still wasn't looking at me, but at least she was joking with me. "It's not creepy, it's called flirting. Which by the way keep calling me Mattie. I like it. I can be your Mattie, my love."  She looked back at me with shock on her face. "I'm gay!" She yelled at me. I looked back at her with shock. "What?" I asked.  How could this be? It's impossible. She's my beloved. She was made for me, she cannot be into women. She is mine.

Zapphire: 

I don't know why I said that, but it was the first thing to come to mind when he said he was flirting with me. I had to get him to stop. "I'm only into women? I'm not into men? I don't play for your team? I'm a lesbian? Do any of those ring a bell?" I asked. He just kept staring at me wide eyed. I sighed. "I'm sorry, it was rude to say it like that. You're just kinda making me uncomfortable." He sighed and looked down at the floor. Goddess, I really did it this time. "I'm sorry you just took me by a shock. But if you start calling me Mattie again, I might feel better, and if you excuse my rude behavior and start the right foot off as friends." Matthew said. I guess it doesn't matter if she's gay. She is still my beloved no matter what, hopefully one day she'll start to love me, or I'll always be there for her. As her friend.    

I heard Matt say in his mind. Goddess, I really do not deserve this boy. "Yes, of course." I'll be your friend to Mattie. We can make it work, just like this right? I can protect you this way and still be in each others life. 

We spent the rest of drama going over the script we got from yesterday. At the end of class he asked which class I had next, as if he didn't know, and then walked me to math class. Where again, I found out the math teacher is also a vampire, and sat Mattie and I right next to each other. When math class was over, I packed up my things, and tried heading towards the door, until I felt sparks shooting up my hand. I looked up and saw Mattie looking at me. "Do you want to have lunch together. I know you probably don't have very many friends here." I shook my head. "I actually made a friend yesterday, and I promised I'd have lunch with her today." I tried taking my hands out of his, but he gripped onto me tighter. "Like just a friend? Or are you interested in her?" He asked me, and I couldn't help but laugh. You're the only one for me Mattie, I wish I could tell you that. I still would do anything to become your wife. But instead I just shook my hand, and finally took my hand back and walked towards the lunch area, I went outside and found Tori laying down by an apple tree. When I got up to her, I kicked her foot lightly with my combat boot and she smiled up at me. I sat down beside her, and saw Matthew not to far away with a group of friends. Ooooooooo bad boy, vampire Matthew, looks like he wants to kill me. Does he think I'm going to steal his girl? Should I give him something to be jealous about?  I laughed and shook my head, Tori has been mind linking me all she can since she figured out I can hear super natural's thoughts. Perks of being a siren, I guess. "Baaaabbbbeeee will you come over for a sleep over at my house? We can watch lesbian love stories, eat popcorn, cuddle in bed and go into my hot tub." Tori whined at me looking back at Matthew. I broke out laughing once I saw Matthew tense, and heard him growl. Goddess, she's going to just piss him off. "Tori come up, do I have to? I don't do these whole, girl slumber party crap." I said in-between laughing. I heard Tori fake gasp and I started laughing harder. "Girl, it is Friday, we've been friends for a day and still haven't had a sleep over. And we are going to have one. Come on, in all seriousness, my dad won't be home, and I really want someone to hang out with other then my stupid twin bother." I thought about it before a bit before nodding. 

Once the bell rang we headed towards gym, it went by quickly, a little to quickly. I was not looking forward to history with Matthew. Who knows how Tori will tease him. Once we entered, I saw that Matthew was already seated and he weaved at me to come sit down with him. Tori asked if I wanted to sit with him, and I shook my head. Deciding that it was probably best if I didn't. We could be friends, but I didn't want the bond between us to grow to much. We ended up sitting a few sits in front of him, and I could feel his eyes burning holes into the back of my head. Maybe this was a bad idea, I was going to get it. Once I heard the bell ring, I breathed out a sigh of relief, I can finally escape this death glare. But as soon as I looked up there was Matthew. "Zapphire, may I talk to you please?" I bit my lip, and nodded. I looked back at Tori. "I'm going to go talk to Mattie, and I'll meet you at your house later. Okay?" She nodded, and as soon as she did Matthew grabbed my hand and started dragging me out of the room. "Babe, make sure you get to my house soon. I don't want to miss you to much!" I heard Tori yell at me, and it only made Mattie tighten his grip on me. He ended up leading me towards an empty hallway, and he pinned me against a wall, putting his fisted hands on either side of my head breathing slowly. No doubt, trying to calm down. "Are you okay Mattie?" I asked. He shook his head. "I want you to stay away from her, she's not good Zapphire." Oh goddess, was this some, vampire, werewolf rivalry thing? Can't he just tease Tori, like Tori is doing with him? "That's not going to happen Mattie. You don't get to tell me who I can and cannot hang out with just because you're jealous, you do not own me." Matthew then looked up at me and slammed his fist into the wall. "YES I DO! YOU ARE MY BELOVED! NOT HER MATE, AND I DEMAND YOU STOP SEEING HER!" Matthew screamed at me. Shit... his inner beast is coming out, I need to get out of here, before something bad happens. "Mattie, let me go---" Matthew lips slammed into mine, and I could feel his arms wrap around me, holding me in place." I kissed him back. I couldn't help it. I hadn't kissed him in years, I missed this, I missed him, I needed this and I needed him. I felt him bite my lip, trying to get my mouth open, but once he did, I started bleeding and I gasped. He pulled away, and looked down at my lip. I saw his eyes go black, giving me a look of lust and need. Then he parted his mouth slightly. Is he going to bite me? My question was answered right away as he leaned down at sucked on my lip, getting the blood out. I didn't mean to act the way I did, but my body acted on it's own, I jumped and wrapped my legs around his waist, his hands went around my butt, and I entangled mine into his hair pulling him in closer. I was lost in bliss, lost in all the sparks he left all over my body, but I felt Mattie stiffen and gain control over himself. He pulled back and I could see his true face, black eyes, veins popping out underneath his eyes, and his two enlongated fangs. But he didn't scare me, I thought it would, seeing my soulmate in such a state, I was suppose to hate vampires right? I felt the blood rush to cheeks nevertheless though, I really shouldn't have done that no matter how good, and right it felt. "Z, I'm so sorry, are you okay? I didn't mean to bite you." I shook my head and he placed me back onto my feet. Once he put me down, he ran, but he was back in just seconds. I looked up at him, and he had a wet paper towel, and he tried stopping the bleeding on my lip. I started crying, here he is always taking care of me, and here I am keeping him at arms length, and lying to him. "Z, I'm so sorry! Did I scare you? I was made, and I lost control. Please.. forgive me..."  I do not deserve you Mattie, I wanted to say. I can't take these chances, Drake is absolutely insane, and this time he might actually kill you. I looked up at Mattie, and his eyes still hadn't gone back to normal, I could also see my blood on his mouth. I used this as my chance. "GET AWAY FROM ME!" I screamed,  and tried running away from me but he held me in place. I'm so sorry Mattie, I thought. I'm not actually scared of you. "Z, it's okay, it's fine. I would never ever hurt you. I love you." He whispered the last part. I shook my head. "I don't understand Mattie." I said with tears becoming uncontrolable. "I'm a vampire, love. I think you've already guessed that... but every supernatural creature has a other half, vampires, a beloved...." He then kissed my head. "And you Zapphire are mine." I shook my head. "This is to much Mattie, please... let me go, I can't do this..." This shouldn't have happened, I got lost in him, in us, in our love, and in our bond. I cannot let this happen again. "Zapphire, I lost control, I'm so sorry, but you do not need to be scared. I will protect you. Just give this a chance, give us a chance." I can't, because I don't deserve this chance. But I nodded anyways, hoping he would let me go, he did. I felt cold without him, and the sparks dulled. I hated having him away, but it was what was best, when I looked up Mattie was gone..... I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself, before I headed out to my car, making my way to Tori's packhouse, and texting Melody where I was going to be.
