I felt his blood enter in my mouth, it tasted better then anything I had ever tasted before. I knew what I was doing was wrong, but I couldn't help it. I was starving. I needed this, I needed him, I needed my soulmate. But then I felt someone rip me off my soulmate, and through me across the yard. I landed on my feet in a crouched position and looked up at my attacker. She was beautiful, tall, brunette, and standing over my soulmate in a protecting position. I looked over my shoulder and saw Tori and Melody running over to me. After Melody looked me over, she looked at my attacker. I could tell from her stance, her face transformed. I saw Matthew getting up, I blushed and looked to the ground, not wanting to see his face. I can't believe I just did that. Now that my head was clear, I was scared. This is not how I ever wanted Matthew to find out about me. "How dare you!?" I heard Melody scream. I looked back up with tears threatening to escape my eyes. I could see the girl's face has also transformed. "How dare I!? What the f**k are you freaks!?" I saw Matthew grab her waist, and pull her back. I felt a ping of jealous wash over me, and tears started flowing. Tori, wrapped her arms around me, holding me close to her, trying to protect me, calm me. "Sophia, do not call my beloved a freak," Matthew stared at me, trying to catch my eyes, but I wouldn't let him. I couldn't speak, I couldn't even look at him. "We're sirens. My maker can't hold down any blood. My soulmate and I are thinking it's because of your bond with her." A sob escaped from my mouth and I put my hand to my mouth trying to hide it. After finally deciding to try, look at what I do, look at this mess I create. After all I've done, and now this.... he's never going to forgive me. "Please let me help her.." I looked up and saw him in front of Melody. "Control your girlfriend next time. You might be my maker's mate, but that won't stop me from kicking your ass if this happens again." I saw the brunette, I guess who's name is Sophia. Look shocked, and hurt. "Seriously Matthew!? Who've heard what they've said about sirens! Just reject her and move on." Matthew shook his head. "Go home Soph, I'll meet you back there." The girl, stomped her foot and left. I heard Tori giggle. I put my eyes back on the ground, not wanting to look at Matthew. "Alpha Victoria, may I please have my beloved?" Tori tried to shift me, but I held onto her tighter and shook my head. "Z, you have to get better. You can't hold down blood." Tori said. I shook my head. "I'm not taking his blood." Matthew took my chin, and forced me to look up at him. "I'm your beloved. Let me help you." I just looked at him. I felt Tori let go of me, and when I looked around to try to grip onto Melody or Tori, I couldn't even find them. "Damn it" I said under my breath. "Why didn't you tell me?" I sighed, but didn't say anything. How do I answer that question? Sorry, we were together a long time ago. I took away your memories, left you and now here I am back again. "I'm not ready to tell yo that Mattie." I heard him step closer to me, and his scent was just intoxicating. In one swift movement he spinned me around, knelt down, and brought my face close to his neck. "Then we'll talk about it after you feed." I shook my head. "Zapphire, I am your beloved, I want to do this for you." I shook my head again and said "Siren's actually say soulmate. He chuckled but still brought me closer. "It's the same thing, but it still doesn't change the fact that I want you to. Please, love." I nodded, and before biting down on him I said "I love you, Mattie."
Once I was full, I licked his wound clean, I bit my lip drawing a little blood, and then kissed his neck.The wound closed almost instantly. "What did you do?" I looked up at Matthew, and say his face change slightly, trying to hold it back. "I closed your wound." He sighed, closing his eyes, I'm guessing trying to calm himself. Once his eyes opened, his face went back to normal. "I'm a vampire love, I heal fast anyways." I blushed and nodded. Matthew grabbed my chin and forced me to look up at him. "You told me you loved me Zapphire." He said, smiling at me. I sighed and tried looking down, but he wouldn't let me. Just suck it up and do it Zapphire! I yelled at myself, he deserves this, if he rejects you... fine, you deserve it anyways. "What do you know about sirens Mattie?" He gave me this confused look. "Not very much, I know vampire blood is your diet, and how sirens were created." I nodded. "Did you know we can read supernatural minds, control them?" He shook his head, he tried to say something but I covered his mouth. "I missed you so much Mattie," I said, letting the tears fall from my eyes. "I'm so sorry, I left you, and I'm sorry. I thought.. I really thought I was protecting you." Matthew removed my hand from his mouth. "Zapphire what are you talking about?" I looked down when he finally let go of my chin. "Can you call me Fire... like you used to? Please...." Matthew took a step away from me. "Zapphire what did you do?" I shook my head and started crying harder. "Mattie, I'm so sorry. I took them away. I took your memories away. You knew me, in your human life, before you became a vampire. I left because someone that used to be in my life, hurt you, that's why you were in this hospital, and I'm so sorry you were hurt because of me." I fell to my knees, and grabbed at the grass. Matthew stepped down in front of me. "Can you give them back to me? Please..." I looked up at him and focused. "Mattie, I want you to remember, I want you to remember our happy times together..." I put my hand on the side of his face, and looked at him while only the good memories were coming back.... "Fire...?"
