Greg's POV The moment the words left my mouth, I saw it—the fear creeping back into her eyes. She tried to look brave, but her trembling hands betrayed her. “Seriously?” I said again, my voice filled with frustration. She opened her mouth to say something, but the words came out in a stutter that was barely audible. “What did you just say?” I asked, taking another step closer, my face now inches from hers. “Speak up, Aurora.” The tension between us was so thick it was almost suffocating.
