Aurora's POV The plane made a soft humming sound as it flew through the clouds. I stared out of the small window, my hand resting under my chin. Below us, the world was just patches of green and blue. My heart felt heavy, like I had left a piece of myself behind in that chaos. I turned to Greg, who sat next to me, his arms crossed and his face calm, too calm for someone who had just escaped with his life. “Where are we going?” I asked, my voice sharper than I intended.
