Aurora's POV I froze. I couldn’t move. My heart thumped so loudly that I was sure everyone at the table could hear it. The look on his face, the edge in his tone—it was enough to send me running for the hills. But I had nowhere to go. The mansion was a prison, and right now, Greg was the one in charge. “Aurora!” he barked again, louder this time, snapping me out of my spiraling thoughts. I jumped up so fast that my chair made a screeching noise against the floor. My legs felt like jelly, but I forced myself to follow him.
