Chapter 9

I woke up at exactly six o'clock in the morning, guess I forgot to turn off the alarm of my phone when I got here. I always set it at six in the morning when I was still in the city because of work. I sat on the bed first after turning off the alarm of my phone, I carefully stretched my arms then cracked my neck, doing it in a circular motion. That's relaxing. I entered inside their luxurious bathroom, and as I mentioned last day when I arrived it has a bathtub, heater and the products are all complete. From shampoo,  conditioner, soap, body wash and scrub even lotions. That's nice. But I have my own essentials. I pulled out some clothes inside my luggage before going back to the bathroom. I opened the faucet filling up the tub, I picked a bath bomb from my holder then dropped it in the tub. I need this. Time to freshen up. After showering, I wore my Orlebar Brown Horton White Polo Shirt and paired it with an Almond mid-length Bulldog Cotton Twill shorts. After that I opened my small bag where my perfumes are located, I picked the Rose d'Arabie Unisex Eau de Parfum, part of Armani's Prive collection. I stayed in front of the full body mirror, until I'm satisfied with my look then I wore my Birkenstock sandals, picked up my phone and wallet before storming out of my room. I am moving my head while walking, roaming my eyes, appreciating the beauty of the hotel's interior. It's amazing to see a modern style design while most of the stuffs are made up of bamboos and woods. Well blended. Which I find, great. Really great. I smiled a little when I saw the tables of food that they offer, buffet style, most of the dishes are seafood. Which is nice since the hotel is located on an island and they're at advantage if they're buying directly from the fishermen outside at the low land. All of it looks delicious but I never eat heavy meal in the morning, so I chose the pancake and a cup of black coffee. This will do. Habang nag-aagahan ay inilibot ko ang aking paningin sa kabuuan ng hotel, hindi 'ko na nabigyan pa ng pansin ito ng makarating kahapon dahil na rin sa kapaguran. The design outside and inside of the hotel is nice. And the thing I liked here the most is the strong structure of the building, knowing that it is located on the high land, quite dangerous. Must be tough. I don't have the knowledge when it comes to construction and engineering, but I visited most of our sub companies being built before so I know something about it... just a little. I finished eating my food, signaled one of their men to assist the things that I had used then headed outside the hotel. Marahan akong napapikit nang sumalubong sa akin ang malamig at natural na simoy ng hangin. I walked towards the stair then glanced at the structure of the hotel again. This time the outside look. It's nice, I should get the name of the Engineer and Architect assigned with this hotel. After I roamed around outside of the hotel, appreciating its design and structure, I decided to go to the low land. It was a struggle climbing up here when I first came... Which is yesterday, guess, it's because I am already tired that time and my luggage are heavy. But going down is way easier, just a bit dangerous since you're being pulled by the gravity. One wrong step and, you either trip or fall. And after I made my last step from the stone stair, I was welcomed with the noise of the sea, cold breeze of the wind, screaming and running kids, bunch of fishermen and foreign people interacting. "Mag dalawang taon na yang hotel pero gandang-ganda parin ako, bilib talaga ako diyan kay Engineer." dinig kong saad ng isang mangingisda sa tabi. "Oo, aba sa Maynila rin ay madami na siyang nahawakang proyekto, malayo na talaga ang narating ng batang 'yon." another middle-aged man said, agreeing with the statement delivered by the first man. I glanced at their direction and saw him talking to his co-fisherman while fixing their net and boats. My guess is right huh? That person must be really great. I must hire him, I'm impressed.
