THE FATAL BLOW

WOLFASTAIN just dealt with the last rogues ripping off his ripping, the final blow , Selene and ryker was terrible from such fatality.
The snow was red.
10 rogues. That's all it was.
Nothing Wolfstain couldn't handle alone.
He stood in full Alpha Werewolf form.
9 feet. Black fur soaked in blood. Red eyes.
Then he felt it.
Cold.
Between his shoulder blades.

Wolfstain froze.
A frost dagger.
Blue ice. Black runes. Steam hissing where it met his blood.
He turned. Slow.
*Selene.*
Standing colse in white. No armor.
Hair clean. Hands steady.
The dagger in her hand was smoking.
Behind her 7 ft away Ryker.*
Leaning on a tree. Arms crossed. Watching.
_“Selene?”_ Wolfstain growled. Voice was thunder and confusion.
He looked down. The dagger was in deep.
Ice was already spreading from the wound, cracking his fur.
_“What are you doing?”_
Selene tilted her head.
_“Finishing what you started, my Alpha.”_
Her voice was soft. Like she was talking to a wounded pup.
She stepped closer.
_“10 rogues. That's all it took for you to look like a god.
Imagine what you'd do with 400.”_
She twisted the dagger.
Wolfstain roared. The sound shook the trees.
He swiped. She ducked under his claw like she knew the move.
Because she did. He taught her.
The ice magic hit his heart.
His knees hit the snow.
9 feet of Alpha, brought down by one stab.
Ryker finally pushed off the tree.
_“Told you it had to be now,”_ he said to Selene.
_“Before he gets too strong. Before he notices us.”_
Wolfstain tried to shift back. Tried to heal.
The frost dagger pulsed.
His fur started turning to ice. Claws to frost.
_“ALPHA!”_
Bellion and Vegris as well as few soldiers came crashing through the trees. Too late.
They saw Selene. Saw Ryker. Saw the dagger.
They stopped.
Ryker held up Wolfstain's Alpha pin.
_“By order of the new Alpha and Luna. Stand down.”_
Wolfstain was on his knees now. Bleeding ice.
He looked at Selene.
Blood on his teeth.
_“I pulled you from the rogues...”_
_“I know,”_ Selene whispered. She pulled the dagger out.
Black blood steamed. _“That’s why it had to be me.”_
The Ice Witch stepped from the trees.
_“Seal him before he breaks the curse.”_
They dragged him away while he was still conscious.
While Bellion and Vegris were held back by their own pack, the ones that seems to be backstabbers ,they fought these skilled warriors with everything they had left from the war.
10 rogues dead.
And the Alpha fell.
100 years.
_The last thing Wolfstain heard was Ryker laughing.
“10 rogues. And you still didn't see us coming, brother.”_ bring him to the near by mountains
Other reinforcement as rogues came along with the witch doctor.

The frost dagger was still in Wolfstain's back.
Ice spreading. 9 feet of Alpha on his knees in the snow.
*Selene* stood over him.
*Ryker* had 20 guards around them.
*The Ice Witch* was chanting, hands over the ice block.
Then the trees exploded.
_“ALPHA!!!”_
*Bellion. Vegris. And 6 others.*
They didn't run. They charged.
Bellion hit the first guard like a hammer. Sword through throat.
Vegris put 3 arrows in the air before his feet touched snow.
The other 5 hit like wolves.
For 30 seconds, Wolfstain's men were winning.
_Clang. Thud. Scream._
They cut down 8 of Selene's guards.
Blood on snow. Bodies dropping.
Ryker drew his twin axes. _“Hold them!”_
Selene stepped back from Wolfstain, eyes wide.
_“Kill them! All of them!”_
But Wolfstain's men were exhausted.
3 hours of fighting 10 rogues. Then sprinting here.
Their arms were heavy. Their breath was steam.
One by one, they started falling.
Bellion took a spear to the shoulder but didn't stop.
Vegris had a cut across his ribs and kept shooting.
_“Fall back!”_ Vegris roared.
_“Get him out!”_
They tried.
2 of them grabbed Wolfstain's arms. He was too heavy. The ice magic had him.
The Ice Witch smiled.
She raised both hands. Blue light filled the air.
_“FROSTBIND!”_
The ground cracked.
Ice shot up from the snow and wrapped around Bellion's legs.
Vegris's bow shattered in his hands.
The other 4 were slammed back by a wave of cold.
Selene walked to Wolfstain.
Pulled the frost dagger out.
_“You see?”_ she whispered to him. _“This is why you had to go.
You're too loved.”_
Ryker kicked Bellion in the face as he struggled in the ice.
_“Good try, dog.”_
Wolfstain tried to roar. Tried to stand.
But the dagger + the Witch's magic was too much.
His vision was going blue.
Last thing he saw:
Bellion screaming his name.
Vegris with an arrow nocked, but 4 spears at his throat.
Selene's hand on his face.
_“Sleep now, my Alpha.”_
Then darkness.
They chained him.
Loaded him into the black chariot with vegris and bellion
The Ice Witch sealed him with runes while he was still breathing.
Vegris and Bellion were left in chains in the chariot
Bleeding. Watching.
Torren was the only one who got away.
Running through the trees with his last breath, he was a skilled warrior but he knew he had no chance of winning this at all.
And Vegris, with blood in his mouth, whispered:
“They'll pay for this. In 100 years or 1000.
Wolfastain men weren’t cowards they fought, bled for their alpha with their last strength, it was a honorable fight for thier alpha.
Selene and ryker was seating next to each other , ryker notice Selene seemed a bit nervous and asked her ; what is it dear , is there something you are bother about?
Selene looked at him in the face feeling anxious, then speaks out her thoughts; I think it will be risky if the clan or any Allies of Wolfastain to see their body’s , they might investigate their bodies , what killed their alpha,
Ryker : and if they do ?
Selene: magic was used on him , witches aren’t that many in our borders… and they might trace them and then boom! , back to us . I don’t want to be stressed out from something that is supposed to be too simple.
Ryker : so what do U suggest?
Selene: we get rid of the bodies! That why I didn’t leave them on snow back there, close to the camp.
Ryker: okay that excellent, let take them to the mountains, and then tell people that the great Wolfastain fell to the hands of overwhelming rogues.
Selene: hmmm I have plan for what I’m going to tell the people .
Ryker : and what is that?
Selene: after the war he was attacked by rivals , packs ganged against him , while he and his men were exhausted from battle.
Ryker : such deception! And I love it .
They both started laughing viciously to each other ; hahahahaha, haha. Mmmm.
