Chapter Thirty-Six – DCI BeckleySaturday 2 January 2016 It's 9.35am. I'm tired and despondent after last's nights f**k up. I know that Kate isn't to blame. I'm surprised that she even agreed to be part of a sting operation in the first place. It's guilt, eating her up inside, a feeling that is all too familiar. That's why she wants to help the investigation. She blames herself for Louise's attack, which is understandable.
