Going back to school after everything felt like walking into a room full of eyes I couldn't see but could still feel.
It had been a week since the attack. An horrible week since I’d been in a place that wasn’t a hospital bed or my bed.
And now, as I walked past the school gates, everything felt... different, the air felt thicker and sharper.
The sky looked the same. The buildings were still the same dull beige.
The hallway smelled of worn books and floor polish just like always, but something inside me had changed and that scared the living hell outta me.
