DRASA POV
I never felt more like a ghost than I did in that cafeteria, standing still while Cassian pulled me into the center of the room.
Every eye was on us…hungry, curious, cruel. My breath trembled in my chest, my pulse thundered in my ears.
Cassian raised his other hand, slow, deliberate, like a conductor before an orchestra. Whispers spilled out in waves.
“What is he doing now?”
“Is she crying?”
“Why is he holding her like that?”
Those were the comments I was getting and the whispers that were circulating.
“What are you doing?” I muttered underneath my breath but he didn't seem to care.
“Listen up y'all, I have got a special and important announcement to make!! And I want all of you to listen and not say a word!!” He yelled.
The cafeteria fell silent as all eyes were fixed
