I stood in the large mirror in my room as I fixed my shirt. It is that evening, the traditional dinner between my family and Elena’s. My brows arched into a frown when I thought about her. That little witch better not ruin things for me tonight.
The sharp knock on my door jolted me back to reality. I gave my reflection one last fake smile before I walked to answer the door, it was Kai. I rolled my eyes and let him in.
