My eyes opened to the same room I have been for the past three days since the mysterious attack, the hospital.
The pain in my rib, back, forearm and thighs has reduced but the ache in my heart has not.
I know I told myself that I would stop hoping but I could not just bring myself to believe that Cassian would get my texts and still not show up at the hospital.
The nurse walked in and checked my vitals. “You are such a strong lad” she smiled and ruffled my hair and somehow I relaxed at her soft gesture.
"You are free to go home, just make sure to check in sometimes so we can redress the wounds”. I nodded and she left.
