Cassian’s POV
My phone had been blowing up the entire day. Messages from Drasa, followed by calls from Kai. Even Maya sent one out threatening to behead me and spill my guts into the sea if I didn’t stop ignoring her friend and causing her to worry.
‘Why are you ignoring her? Is this how you plan on protecting her?’ Dexter asked.
I ended up closing the link allowing us to communicate when I got tired of listening to his pointless rants.
None of them seemed to understand albeit I didn’t bother explaining so I do have some fault in this.
I sighed as I switched off my phone to avoid any distractions while I spied on my father. Knowing his sharpened senses he could pick up the vibration of the phone from miles away.
