It's been two weeks now since the incident with Amanda. I thought she was going to come at me after the incident, but she didn't show up. All through this week I haven't seen or heard from Molly. I am so lonely sitting down here in the cafeteria all by myself. Sitting down here, I remembered how Chris whispered to my ears and how those sparks make me feel. I wonder if he feels them too. I was deep in thought when someone yelled my name from the entrance. I turned to see my teacher. Elizabeth, the principal, would like to see you in her office, my teacher told me.
"Why would the principal want to see me," I asked myself. I got to the principal's office, knocked at her door and she ushered me in. Miss Elizabeth, please have your seat, the principal said. When I was seated, the principal asked me what had happened two weeks ago. I explained to her exactly what had happened and she dismissed me.
I know the incident wasn't that serious and the teacher was not around the café, but how did the principal know? I finally got back to the cafeteria. I had my seat and I must say I feel like I am being watched and followed. I was brought out of imaginary land, again with a scream. "I pray it's not my teacher again," I said silently. "Hey bestie, miss me, Molly asked. "Molly, where have you been, I asked, pulling her into a tight hug. "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you we were moving out of the neighborhood," she said, patting me. "I missed you a lot," she said. Me too. "I was so lonely," I said.
Chris' POV
After what happened two weeks ago, all I do is stalk on Elizabeth. I make sure she doesn't notice, but at times she looks behind to see if she has been followed. I don't know why, but I feel this little connection with her. Today again I am watching her, but this time I was close by, and I didn't let her see me. She was sitting alone in the cafeteria feeling sad. A teacher came to call her. She didn't respond to the first two calls. The last call made her flinch, which made me chuckle at her reaction. How deep she was in thought. I paid close attention to their conversation and got to know the principal wanted to see her. I followed closely without being noticed again. She was asked about the incident that happened two weeks ago. I don't know why, but I need to clear my head , the full moon is in two days' time and, most importantly, I need to prepare for my mate.
Molly and I were still seated in the cafeteria enjoying ourselves when Amanda came in. Not when the day was starting to get interesting, I said to myself. What did you tell the principal? Amanda asked. She sounds pissed, and I don't know why, but I feel like I got her time today. What do you mean by what I did tell the principal, I asked. When I ask you a question, don't you reply with me..... Or what are you going to do? I asked her to cut her words in her mouth and this time stood up from where I sat facing her directly. The atmosphere was getting tense when Scott stepped in. "Amanda, that's enough," Scott said. Oh my, girls, can you see this? Amanda asked her friends. "I am touched, you never told me you settled things with Scottie here," Amanda said. "I thought Chris would show up to save you this time, but it looks like little Cinderella is not getting her prince charming, Amanda said, laughing with her friends. I don't know what happened but the next thing that I knew was I was on top of Amanda throwing punches to her face and I had no plans of stopping. A strong arm dragged me off her and through those sparks I knew it was Chris. I felt relieved, like a weight was lifted off me.
To be sincere, I don't know why I charged at her, but am pretty sure her last words made me do it. Soon, the principal showed up at the cafeteria, and she didn't look happy at all. The three of you, my office now, she commands with authority and annoyance in her voice.
"What were you thinking, Miss Elizabeth, the principal asked? "Do you think this is some wrestling ground where you throw punches at each other," she asked again. "And you, Amanda, I'll let your parents know about your behavior and what they think about it," she said. "I'm so sorry. "I promise it won't happen again, Amanda pleads. "Yes, of course it won't right after you tell your parents I want to see them first thing tomorrow morning," the principal said firmly. "Chris, I really must say, you're a handsome young man any girl would want you. "But the fact that students fight because of you everytime is not something I appreciate," she said. "I promise it won't happen again," Chris assured her. "I hope so, the principal said before dismissing us.
We got outside the principal's office, Molly on sighting me, ran up to me and asked if everything was okay. I assured her everything was fine. "This is only the beginning," Amanda said before she stormed off. Scott came to meet me, and he asked if I was not hurt. No, thank you was my reply. Uhm.... Chris called out just before he was about to leave. Thank you, I said to him. He only nodded his head and walked away, making me feel bad. I wanted him to turn around and say it was okay. But I guess I was too harsh on him the last time.
Chris' POV
I never thought she would react in that way. I was about to leave when a familiar scent caught my nose. It was Amanda's. I saw her go up to the cafeteria, and she didn't look happy, she never looked happy. After entering the cafeteria, she walked up to Elizabeth's seat. Their conversation was about what she told the principal. Knowing she only wanted trouble, some dude walked up to them trying to stop the tensed atmosphere. Through her conversation I must say Elizabeth and that dude we're a thing before they had some misunderstanding. Amanda's words weren't friendly even I wanted to show up when she mentioned my name, but Elizabeth took care of it. I was watching her with total surprise. I knew she wasn't planning on stopping anytime soon, so I had to step in before the principal stepped in and also not want Elizabeth to regret doing something bad .
