Nathan’s POV The night is cold, the kind of cold that leaves you freezing, but I barely feel it. My blood is boiling, my fists clenched so tightly that my knuckles ache. I stand in the middle of the street, staring down the car that dared to stop in front of me. I’ve already caught sight of her—Abigail—in the back seat. Her face is pale, her eyes filled with fear, and it’s all I find myself focusing on. The driver’s irritation is written all over his face as he slams his hand against the steering wheel. “What the hell is this?” I think he mutters, but I can’t hear him clearly. I don’t care what he says. He’s nothing to me. The only thing that matters right now is getting Abigail out of that car. She seems she's in trouble.
