Seraphine immediately flickered her gaze to the fire poker on the other end of the room. Her weapon of choice was too far for her to reach. Then she looked beside her. No flower pot but there was a bedside candle holder.  Possible alternative... She inched her hand closer to the candle holder while her eyes kept staring at the figure.  "Please don't throw that candle holder to me," he said. His voice sounded timbre. It was deep enough that she knew the figure was a man, and his sound seemed familiar yet she could not place it.  "Who are you?" she asked, "And how the hell did you get here?"
