I tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear as she slept on my bed. My pillow was wrapped in her arms and I tucked the blankets up higher on her body. She snuggled into the warmth of the bed. I wrote a note and left it on the bedside table for her to read when she woke up.
I made my way through my house and into the kitchen before taking out the ingredients for breakfast when I heard footsteps behind me. The scent alerted me to Miles and I smiled. I started a pot of coffee and threw bacon in a greased pan. It sizzled and steam billowed carrying the salty scent of the bacon throughout the house.
