Oh, How Fustrating Magic Can Be!!

266 Words
During the time I was with Ms. Danayar, I learned so much. I learnt the history of magic, all the famous sorcerers and events, like Merlin and the Fairy godmother. We spent a lot of time in that clearing. It was pretty unbelievable. The one thing she never, ever answered though, was why magic disappeared. Any time I brought it up, she would look at me and shrug. Of course, as any witch's apprentice or protégé, Ms. Danayar taught me how to use magic. Or at least, she tried. The problem was not with her. She has taught others before me. The problem was me. Every single time I tried, nothing would happen. And when something happened, it was because I lost control. It was frustrating. "YAAAHH!" I was screaming out of frustration. I thrust my hands out in front of me, trying to get something, anything to happen. But nothing. Nothing happened at all. I sighed and sat down with my legs crossed. What was I doing wrong?  The librarian came over and sat down with me.  "I can't do this." I told her. "I'm never going to get it." I scowled. She let out a breath. "I'll be honest, Qu. I don't know how to solve this. I've never had this problem before. Usually, the magic comes out just fine. ' Ms. Danayar tilted her head. "How about you take a break, just for this week? I'll still pay you." She paused before continuing. "Don't say no, we both need a break." I looked down, feeling a bit upset and tired. "Yea, you're right."
