"YES!!!" I exclaim excitedly.
"No way! You've won for the seventh time already. You must be cheating!!" some drunk guy was raging angrily. He was a skinny dude, although strong, with white hair. Probably around my age.
I was in a dark gambling hall. I've been here every night for the past four years and I must say, by now, I'm an expert at playing cards. I can tell this guy is an amateur. I honestly have no idea why I'm so happy about winning.
This place is pretty crowded tonight. A gang here, some rich guys there, hell, there are even officials and guards here! Oh, and not to forget Mr. Drunk Guy.
"If you want to win, you might want to compete against someone else, sir." I raised an eyebrow. "I have been going easy on you, and here I am, with your stack of chips sitting by my side." Obviously, I have been playing against him for a while now. Or maybe he just loses easily.
He stood suddenly. "Why you!!! How dare you insult me, little b***h!" he spits. His hands balled into fists. "You're not getting away with that." Suddenly, there were whispers around.
"Did you hear that?"
"This guy wants to fight Qu!"
"He's crazy-"
He launched himself at me and tried to punch me in the face. Seriously, he has to go for my face? Doesn't he now a girls' face is precious around here? Anyway, he was intoxicated and stumbling and he tripped over his own feet. I tried not to laugh.
He started shouting."Do you know who I am!? I am the second prince of this Kingdom!!! I could destroy you and your family with less than my pinky!!! How dare you insult me!!! Guards, arrest this girl! And you, peasant, tell the king about this!"
Oh, s**t. Why would the second prince of Asara be in this small, rural town that is out in the frickin' middle of nowhere? No time to question, it's time to start running.
I flipped the table, hitting the guards in the face and knocking them over and ran for the back door.
