------Qu's P.O.V-----
Soooo I have the keys to the front door of the library. This should be quick and easy and I shouldn't get caught since no one is ever here at night. Great. I dressed in some casual clothes. Black jacket, jeans, black hat, and no wig. The wig is so annoying.
I unlocked the doors and tiptoed in, just in case there was someone here (like Ms. Danayar). I snuck my way over to the transparent bookshelf. I felt tense.
"Calm down, Qu. There's no one here." I told myself. I breathed in, held it, and breathed out. I walked toward the shelf and stood in front, wondering what I should do first.
I decided to look around the shelf first. I scanned the ground, the other shelves, the ceiling, nothing. I leaned my b against the transparent bookshelf....
….And fell right through.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! OH F*CK! WTF!" I was falling down a really deep hole. I tried to grab on to something, but the sides were just out of my reach. I turned my head, blew hair out of my face, and looked around. I could see the ground approaching. Omg, I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die... I kept repeating it in my head over and over again as I shut my eyes tightly.
Suddenly, I felt the wind blowing past me start to slow down and I gently hit the floor. I opened my eyes and sat up. I was in a cave and there was light at the end.
"Wait a minute. Hold on. Aren't I supposed to be underground? Where is the light coming from? Before that, where did this cave come from?" I exclaimed. I ran to the opening and light and warmth flooded over me.
"Woah." I was breath taken. "So beautiful..."
Out side the cave was a clearing with a rocky waterfall that led to a crystal clear pond. Beyond that was an entire forest. It was so green and majestic and I could hear all life living in it. I walked out.
"You are finally here, Qu" A voice came from behind. I turned around really fast and, to my surprise, stood Ms. Danayar, although she was dressed very weird. Hell, she even looked weird.
She was wearing an extremely dark, slightly glittery, red dress. the top part hugged her skin. The front of the bottom part of her dress was halfway up her thighs, and the fabric slope downward until the back was half-way down her calves. Her dress was basically a tube-top. The sleeves- they aren't connected with the dress- were small at the top, holding on to here arms, then got larger at the bottoms so that is was loose. There were so many sharp folds the skirt and the sleeves. She also had one-inch heels.
Her skin was weird though. The right half was completely normal, but the left was covered in the same dark red color that her clothes were.
"Ms. Danayar, are you okay?" I asked, alarmed and shocked at her appearance.
"Of course. Why do yo-? Ah, it's my appearance isn't it." I nodded. "Don't worry dear. This is what a witch looks like while she is performing magic. It is quite normal."
"Magic?" I was dumbfounded. "Magic doesn't exist, let alone witches. Did you hit your head somewhere? Like a rock, or a tree?"
"I assure you I'm fine, Qu." she said while rolling her eyes. " Magic does exist. How do you think you got here in the first place."
That's a good point. "If magic was real, how come nobodies ever heard about it existing? And why don't you magic people use this thing to help others?"
"Hmmm.... I will tell you in time. But you will have to except one condition first." The librarian smiled. I told her to continue.
"You have to accept being my apprentice." She clapped her hands together.
"W-what? Huh? E-excuse me, is this a joke?" I sputtered. "I don't have magic. I can't be your apprentice!"
"Trust me, you do. How do you think you survived that fall? Any normal human would have died. And yet, here you are, standing right in front of me."
"Pffft. Well maybe I did die. Maybe, I am in heaven right now, and I'm talking to a crazy lady." I scoffed.
She pinched me and I yelped. "Do you think you are dead now?"
"No." I sighed. "Okay, then. Before I agree, prove to me magic exists."
She agreed to do it. "Look at the pond." I did that. "Now watch." I watched and waited a few seconds and then, a giant ball of water rose out of the pond. My jaw dropped and I sucked my breath in with wonder. I watched as it got closer to us with wide eyes, until Ms. Danayar decided to DROP THE FLIPPIN' BALL OF WATER ON ME.
"AARGH!!! Ms. Danayar!" I spit some water out.
She giggled. "Oops. Sorry, Qu. I just couldn't resist."
"Ok, ok. You proved to me there's magic. I'll hold up my part of the bargain and agree."
"Great! How about we start now? There is much to learn."
I looked at her shocked. "It's night-time. I'm tired. No way, not right now. I need to get some sleep."
"Alright, alright. Fine. Go home and get some sleep. We start tomorrow."
